A bit of a mixture
I bought this book mostly for information on plant dying. I am not sure the idea of combining a bit of everything is going to do much for an experienced gardener, cook or clothes maker. On plant dying the book is excellent: practical, informative and inspiring.

Can’t print the patterns with the kindle version
I really like this book. There are interesting recipes and the book is written in a way that is nice to read and welcoming to beginners. My only gripe is you cannot print the patterns from the kindle edition. I was expecting a link to download the patterns but instead there is a map to the pattern sheets, which is useless if you cannot download the patterns.

Wonderful gift
This beautifully produced book would make a wonderful gift for anyone interested in horticulture, fashion or cooking. It combines all three areas to marvellous effect. Bella's love for her allotment and background as a fashion designer shine through on every page.

Absolutely beautifully designed
The media could not be loaded. You can tell Grow, Cook, Dye and Wear has been created by a prize winning fashion designer because the presentation throughout is incredibly impressive and truly testament to Bella Gonshorovitz’s creative skills. It’s a brilliant insight into a clearly talented designer’s though processes, where you can really get a feel of her various aspirations and though processes that combine to make her creativity. The exciting part is the content itself is very practical and useful, conveying a number of useful techniques across each area.If while reading the description or viewing Amazon’s “view inside” you have the feeling that this book is for you (or you think “this book would be great for so and so”) my advice would be that chances are, you (or the person you thought of) would certainly love this book. It’s unique, stylish and wonderful.

Great concept, includes full-sized pattern pieces
This is an interesting and well-designed book that includes introductory information on growing basic produce, fabric dying and sewing. I guess the book is trying to be an anti-dote to fast, rushed lifestyle - it is centered around 6 simple fruits and vegetables (onion, nettle, rhubarb, blackberry, red cabbage) that are showcased not just in vegan recipes but also used for dying fabrics. The book includes instructions and full-sized pattern pieces for 6 garments that seem to be fairly simple to make. My favourite is the pattern for shorts ('Cabbage' section), although I do find the pockets in the pattern quite oddly placed.
