This was to go into an L7780 all-in-one. By and large I really like this printer, but HP's decision to get rid of a priming system I think have sent many to a premature grave. I felt that no matter who I bought a new print-head from, there was the chance of either a blockage (ink or air) in the printer's plumbing that would be impossible to clear. So..., I thought I'd give it one more shot with a refurb.The product arrived as expected. Upon unpackaging, the print-head had bled a fair bit of yellow ink through the "jet" side. Still, I put it in the printer and set the printer to do a clean and align cycle. This ran for a VERY long time. The initial output wasn't exactly perfect, but I decided to give it a couple of days to allow possible air bubbles in various parts of the system to work their way out.Sure enough..., after a couple of days, it was printing perfectly. Well over 100 sheets, mostly color, through the printer since, and everything continues to work well.If I had bought this new from HP, 3 stars would have been the most I could have given it. But, since it was a refurb, and owing to the significant savings, AND that it eventually worked perfectly, I bumped it to 4 stars. Good value for the $$$.

I was happy about the price and the availability of a remanufactured print head but sadly the quality of mine was pretty poor. I used this printhead for fairly intermittent use over the course of about two weeks. After 10-15 spreadsheets, the head began producing inconsistent coverage of areas that should be completely covered. I removed the printhead and cleaned as per HP cleaning instructions and replaced. By the time I had surpassed 20 print jobs the print head has completely stopped working.The money I saved on this product was ultimately pointless as I now have to buy another new print head without getting 25 pages of printing from this one.Maybe I had a one off quality issue. If seller reviews this, I would be open to receiving a replacement head in hopes of better luck and a much improved rating.

it worked for about 6 months and I had to but the HP printer head. I also had to get rid of the printer because HP stopped updating firmware to run with current windows programs. it did work for the time I needed, so the choice is yours ?

Far, far, far....far cheaper than original. And really, with as incredibly temperamental as the printer it goes in is, why, why,...why would you pay full price? The HP 7500 OfficeJet is a wonder of sensors and such. It's sensors must have sensors. It KNOWS that these print cartridges are knockoffs, and what their dates are. It tells me that they will void my warranty. Well, I got the stupid thing out of the free pile at the dump. It's been previously hated. It prints okay, after it's 30 minute diagnostic testing phase, requiring my full attention to answer prompts that tickertape painstakingly slow across the screen, but once it decides to print something, this ink works flawlessly. What more could you ask for?

This product does not communicate with the HP L7780 Officejet All-in-One Printers, It says there is a problem with the K/Y printhead, (black/yellow). I had to put the old printhead that didn't work back in so the printer would cycle and turn on, then to make the replacement head work I had to switch the (black/yellow) head out to the remanufactured printer head that I bought, I have to do this every time I turn the printer on and off, or you just have to leave it on all the time. After a few months this doesn't work, so you end up having to buy another printhead. I contacted the seller, and they said they would look into this problem, then they never contacted me back, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS SELLER. (PRODUCTS MALFUNCTION)

Bought both the black/yellow and the cyan/magenta. Worked fine for 6 months, but the black/yellow has failed and just out of warranty. I've left a message with the manufacturer, so we'll see if anything comes of it.

The Hewlet Packard printer app called HP Solution Center has a function called Printhead health. It gave this new head a yellow or average rating rather than green, meaning perfect.

I purchased the printhead because my old one became clogged for printing yellow but black printing was good. The new one prints yellow just fine, but the black printing is very marginal. I also purchased a Magenta/Cyan printhead. That one works well.
