Five pairs of period underwear arrived in a pouch. I like the colors and the feel of the fabric. There is light elastic on the legs and waist so nothing digs into either my legs or lovehandles.Can you wear them instead of a pad? Well yes on super light days or when you’re almost done with your period.Here’s way too much info but I hope it helps. I forgot my diva cup. Between getting two kids a dog and a grandma out the door, my needs were forgotten (can you relate???) so I have tried these out on a heavy flow day on accident. Good news, no leaks. Yes, when I finally was able to go take care of business it was not pretty to remove said underpants, etc etc, but my jeans were not stained while out on the town. Would I do this again, def not on purpose but it does give peace of mind to know these are quite good at keeping bodily fluids contained, even massive amounts.Washing! I find the best way for me is to soak them in the sink with OxyFree to remove stains. Then I toss all five pairs in the wash for an extra clean. Yes, Im probabaly weird, but this is how I keep them clean and sanitary.The crinkle in the fabric is there sometimes or not. Depends on how they washed and dried. I don’t hear it and I’m not aware of it once they are on.They are fine under all my clothes. They’re kind of big, so if you’re wearing tight pants you may see some of the seems. For me, they don’t show in my clothes. Pants. Dresses. Whatever is all good.They don’t go up my bum either. No picking or pulling out. Thank goodness.These are not for everyone. My sister finds leak protection panties "disgusting." For me personally, I prefer not to bleed through my dress and leave a stain on a chair at work - now that is "disgusting!" I'll happily wear grandma style, plasticy panties for a few days a month to avoid a disaster and have peace of mind. To each their own:-)Overall I give these a five because I’ve had them over a year and they do what they’re made for. I’ve had zero leaks and zero stains on clothes.

Ya'll ready for some T? okay so i ordered these (twice) bc due to two natural unpleasant births and a large body I have some bladder leakage and a butt sweat issue that normally has me wearing a liner on the daily. I got these to reduce my impact on the environment as well as to not have bleached plastic/fibers against my skin exacerbating other issues. These are absolutely not a replacement for a pad etc... The inner layer is literally the absorbency of a t-shirt. Okay, I am 300lbs wear a 24/26 pant and an 11 in store brand underwear, measurements are 50"waist 55" hip. Initially I ordered the black mesh 4 pack in a 4x and they changed my life. The fabric is smooth, breathable, and stretchy. They are very full coverage in the front/back and fit similar to a high cut leg fruit of the loom in the leg area, the crotch is very wide which is pretty handy to prevent leakage. BUT I have no butt, all my junk is in the front so I did have some looseness in the outside of the cheek area but did not affect functionality at all. There is a rustly noise when worn alone but it can't be heard once you're dressed. I decided that 4 pair were not enough since it is recommended to handwash/hang dry. I did put them through a cold gentle wash cycle and an air dry only dryer cycle and had no issues. I next ordered the 5pack multicolor bamboo cotton in a 3xl hoping to offset the loose cheeks and they fit very well too, the front hits about an inch below my belly button where as the black mesh 4xl hit right at my belly button. Overall I love them and they are life changing.

We use this for a young girl, age 7, with incontinence. Before she reaches the bathroom, she almost always drips in her pants. She can't hold it in completely. As a parent, it was initially a frustration that my child was not potty trained. Her pants would smell coming home from school. She was always embarrassed.Once we approached it as an involuntary problem we bought these panties. It has been a huge relief for all of us and mostly her. At 7 years old she said "daddy, thank you so much for getting these for me" in such a genuine voice it brought tears to my eyes.The fabric creates just enough of a barrier to save her the embarrassment she had to deal with daily. These aren't like Thinx period panties they won't stand on their own. But they are great backups. I'm far in my pregnancy and purchased these due to constant urine leaks. They are working!!! I feel dry with no odor. Easy to wash and care for as well :)

These absolutely exceeded my expectation. The photos raised some concern that I might end up with the non updated design. I received the updated design (higher rise on the lining in front). Great coverage, the waist rise isn't too high, and the leg elastic was perfect, the slightly wider width in the crotch is perfect for a pad, and secures it with no shifting. True to size. No shrinkage with regular washing and drying. There was no "swishing sound" when wearing them. Great at preventing leaks. The price point is excellent and these are great quality. Great material, great updated design, great construction with high quality, secure stitching. I will definitely be purschasing again!! Highly recommended!!! These underwear are just what I needed. I tend to have a lot of spotting before and after my period but it gets so uncomfortable having to wear a pad all that time, especially in the hot summer. These underwear prevent that little bit of blood from escaping my panties and also help me not ruin any of my other regular underwear! I only gave it 4 stars because the material inside is kind of loud when it rubs on itself. It kind of sounds like I'm wearing a diaper. I'm not sure if anyone else can hear it, but it does bother me a little.For reference, I ordered these in small. I am 5'2'' 115lbs, small legs, huge booty.

Like other reviewers who have purchased this underwear, I suffer extremely heavy periods. Living in a house of boys and men and having this uncomfortable issue, it is difficult to retain ones dignity when dashing to the loo after a particularly heavy loss. Not to be indelicate, but early mornings were a nightmare. I usually have a 20 second window in which to reach the bathroom before the flood gates open and I am left in mortification outside the one toilet in our house, because it is occupied by a teenager primping his pimples.To be honest (and I'll admit to being a bit slow on the up take), I didn't realise such underwear existed. I was still very much under the impression that us women had to suffer our lot. It was my husband that urged me to try to find something to save my dignity and I am so glad that I discovered what I call, my bamboo pants.On the strength of reviews I purchased a size 14. My usual size being 12. I sent my order mid evening and was delighted when then arrived early the following day.They fit like a dream and although they have a slight rustle in the hand, once on and acclimatised to my body temperature, they are just like every other piece of underwear. Except better.These do not leak. Not when I'm walking, running, doing yoga, riding my bike or laying down clutching my tummy because it's a particularly bad month. They do not stain. They rinse well too and they are lovely and comfortable to boot.I've seen that some people have said they feel slightly hot or sweaty in them, but speaking for myself I can only say this was not the case for me. I love these pants. After years of suffering and several ruined mattresses (not to mention underwear and clothing) I have found something that makes everything that much easier. I am going to be buying more.

When they arrive there was a note on the package saying they must be used with a pad / tampon. This kind of defeats the point of them and means that rather than actual period proof pants all you have are oversized, non fashionable underwear. If you read the full product description (as I did after) it does mention it but it’s not clear when you first see it.

These have saved me. I have horrible heavy periods and frequently leak over my trousers or chairs. I wear these knickers with my normal protection and they have saved embarrassing leaks. Certainly make things more bearable.

Not happy with these. There are days when I am out of the house long hours so I got a pair for some extra security. I usually wear tampons but sometimes they leak and I thought with these I wouldn't have to worry about my clothes getting dirty. Well, I was wrong. They leaked, especially the sides and as luck would have it, I was sitting on a beige leather office chair. I was shocked and so embarrassed to see what I had done but I was at least able to get the blood stain out of the chair without anyone knowing. Since then they have leaked again and again but not to that extent. The middle part is ok but they leak sideways. Also they don't wash well. They have great big stains after the wash but I still wear them until I find a replacement. I really dont want to go back to using pads for extra safety. Comfort wise, they are soft but tent to cause a lot of sweat in the area and often they smell badly because of that. Not pleased at all. Forgot to say that when there is a leak, it feels like I am wearing something really wet so a real cringe moment. At home it's easy to put on my other pair but when I am out I have to suck it up and continue to feel wet until I go back. I am happy I didn't buy more.

I suffer from heavy periods and decided to give it a go together with cloth pads (first time for both of them). I am positively surprised of how well they work! Even if when I leaked from pad, underwear saved my sheets and pants from leakage. These are the granny pants style but they do work great and I guess if we want to feel sexy just wait for your period to be over.
