These knives are very sharp and the serrations work great for bread, tomatoes, and other items. The packaging is very plain and unimpressive but the knives themselves are high quality and made in Germany. I use a few of these as utility knives and for craft use and the serrations make it possible to evenly and precisely cut foam and cardboard. I often use them to peel fruits and to do prep-work for meals, they can work as steak knives as well but the shape of the blade isn't really optimal for it The handle may be a bit small for some people but it's a good size and fit for me.The price for a set of 12 is a steal if you have need for utility or multi-functional knives that work well in the kitchen or the toolbox. They have held up well to use and have stayed very sharp.

These knives are great. Not only do they cut steak like butter, but they also make a great chopping, utility knife for food and other kitchen chores. They are razor sharp stainless. The knives I received are stamped Germany. I bought the higher priced version because some reviews for less expensive knives didn't have the German proof marks. They looked the same but didn't perform well. They were also about half of what I paid. They are dishwasher safe and should last for years to come. My wife complained about the of the point before she tried them but after cutting into a steak she was surprised how well they performed. Again the point looks different than what you usually see but the angle in no way affects the performance.I like them so much I ordered a set with a traditional point. All in all a quality razor sharp knife. Be careful!

I bought these for work and they work just fine. They are lighter than the colored Fixwell knives we usually use and don't seem to stay sharp for as long, however.

I'm telling you, you won't regret it. They won't rust, they are super sharp, they are tough as nails, and they are not expensive. What else is there to say? They cut through tomatoes, cheese, bread, steak - they are the "go to" knife.And did I mention, they aren't expensive? I'm going to get the steak knives by the same makers because I bought these to use as steak knives and they are a bit awkward to use that way - a little on the small side, but to have this many sharp knives always available in the drawer is worth it to me to have them. Just all around great knives.

Too flimsy and bendable. I was hoping to find a knife just like the one I have already, which I believe was originally from a Subway sandwich store. This blade is smaller and the serrations more fine. I feel safe using the knife I already own and am seeking a replacement for; I don't feel safe using this knife because when it bends a little in use it becomes spring-loaded, adding the danger of getting cut. The blade is not long enough to be all that useful, unless you're cutting small (soft) things. I don't like this knife at all.

These are more of a camping/toolbox/utility knife than a knife you would use at a dinner table. The blade may be sharp and you might be able to cut through a wire with it but it looks cheap. I will find a use for a few of them. The previous reviews made these sound like the last knife you would ever need. Well, maybe in your toolbox.

This is a very sharp knife but the handle is too short.

Love love love these knives, had them when I was overseas and have been looking for them everywhere, found them and the price was less than I paid overseas. So sharp you can cut through a garden hose in seconds if needed. No kitchen will be the same once you get these. Extremely sharp so definitely not for the kids to use. Have already bought another set for a spare.
