No RGB but does the job
Does not have the fancy RGB but did the job. The packaging was good, came with standard modular cables. Has silent fan option which I wouldn’t advise to use since components heat up easily in a PSU.

Well packaged, premium and quiet PSU with slight grievances with the cables
Here is a list of pros and cons with my experience using this PSU.Pros:Very quiet - has zero fan rpm mode but I leave the fan on because it is that quietNeatly packagedgold+ efficiency ratingall black lookFully modularCons:24pin connector caused me a bit of a headache - the connector is reversed to how it meant to be plugged into the PSU unit itself. Thus you are forced to either twist the cable upside down (which I dare not do) or cross it over the 20pin part which took some time - I would recommend plugging cables in before you install the PSU if you do not have a lot of room where the psu goes due to this design flaw.Although sleeved cables are nice they do not make it easier to install. For example, the hard plastic holding the cables tight together is not flexible which made it difficult to plug in the 24pin connector. This was a similar issue with the cpu cable and the PCI-E cable. In tighter spaces where greater cable flexibility is better than having cables tightly squashed together would.Overall, if you want an all black and fully modular PSU for a fair price then you cannot go wrong with this one. But bear in mind the cable issues I mentioned above before you purchase.

Fine PSU. The cables though?
I did some research before buying this PSU. I'd previously only had budget PSU's but after a failure I thought it high time I bought a 'proper' one - Whilst still on a budget of course. I would only entertain a Gold PSU from a good make. Of course this came up quickly enough in the searches and the price tag was do-able.We've all heard of NZXT but for cases and coolers, not PSU's. I looked into it. This is NZXT's 2nd line of PSU's and they've brought them to the market in conjunction with Seasonic.Seasonic are arguably one of the best PSU manufacturers out there so that's good enough for me.I watched some unboxing videos. If you want a pleasant unboxing experience, don't spoil it by watching them. Just order one of these and experience it. That is if you still want one after my review.Unboxing this was great. It appears a pemium product throughout. It's only been in the system for a few days and everything runs. I was kinda hoping I might get a higher overclock once off a budget PSU but that didn't happen. All the same, so I can only now put all my trust in Seasonic and NZXT with regards to how it endures..... Let's assume from it's pedigree that it's a damn good PSU. I can't measure ripple and stuff. I have to trust the numbers like most others. As you probably know it's a modular PSU. You only plug in what you need with the potential for saving space in the build. That's all fine. I saw on Youtube that they're all-black wires which is great. I removed the coloured cable extensions from my shopping list because small black cables can look nice. The 24-pin motherboard cable and the CPU cable are braided most of the way to the plug, then some heat-shrink tubing to the black wires, then the plug. The other cables are of the ribbon type cable, all black wires and you'd think they look good. However - The problem arises when it comes to building with these cables. The worst by far is the 24-pin motherboard cable. I thought it would fit just like my last but with black wires. You feed the plug through the nearest grommit hoping that with a little twist all the wires will angle together and plug it in looking good. What you actually find though is that you can't use the neaarest cabling grommit because there's a section of cable between the motherboard plug and the braided section that's covered in heat-shrink tubing. It is inflexible and has I don't know what inside (electrical components). I know of no case that allows for an inflexible section of cable like this, just at the plug! They could have put that crap down the otther end in the belly of the machine, but no. Let's put it right in the forefront, an inch from the mobo and let's make it real stiff too.Sigh.... That as I said was the worst but all cables are hiding something which hinders cable routing to some degree. This cabling oversight as far as I can see is the only problem with this purchase. How much of a problem is it? Well that depends on you.If you don't care about being able to route cables in an aesthetically pleasing way, then it matters none.If you do care about that but don't mind adding £20-30 to the price you can add braided cable extensions. But then look what happened to the price.I will also note that among the supplied cables are 2 strips of 4x Molex connectors and 2 strips of SATA connectors. I needed 5 SATA and 1 Molex. If they had included (like the budget PSU I had before did) a mixed SATA/Molex cable it would be far more flixlible. Don't tell me of the different amp ratings. I know they're not shy about putting components within their cables. They can do it.Also I needed a now rare/obsolete connection that was not in the kit (they call it a floppy connector).I do not expect them to have included this, or any other older connector. i do feel though that when you buy what's marketed as a premium product that they should at least address these concerns listing alternative compatible cables for sale as extras, should we need. This is very important as you can not use another make with this PSU. "Only use NZXT cables with this" - Then sell them and while you're at it, sell alternatives. Here's another : I use a 6-pin for my GPU. I am aware that most use 8-pin (6+2) or more but I don't. This is fine because the 8-pin goes in and looks good but what looks horrendous to me is the dangling second 8 pin (6+2) connector that I cannot plug in anywhere. I was given two identical cables featuring 2x (6+2) connectors on each, whilst no option is given for those using only 6 or 8 pins other than to leave a cable hanging right in the middle of your build.NZXT you need to go one way or the other with cabling. Either go full value with ketchup and mustard crap that is designed to be extended in the colour of your choice, or make the black ones usable and more build friendly even at the cost of a few quid. We can suck that extra up if need be but we won't if everyone starts slating your cables. This could have been 5 stars so easily because it's a good unit otherwise.

Fanciest package I've ever seen for a PSU
Although I've not owned many PSU's, I have to admit there's a lot of fancy packaging with this product! Aside from everything being secure and tight, there's a small zip up bag that's akin to a wash bag, purple with the NZXT logo. As I might get funny looks bringing it on a trip to store dental supplies, I'm currently using it to store all the bits and bobs from building my PC and this bag has been very handy as oppose to storing it in rattling boxes. With the product itself, I have no qualms with it, I've only been using it for 2 weeks, it seems to work fine. Temperatures seem good. The output powers everything that I need.I've owned a modular psu before and the cables are pretty much the same, fairly flexible and all the ends were all intact. It is a quiet PSU from what I could tell too! The price was perfect too. It's ranked A Tier on the NZXT C-Series on Linus Tech Tips, so that's what also pushed me to buy it. I'd likely buy another one if I had to make another PC.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Despite its weight which made my pc a lot heavier, this power supply is absolutely brilliant, the 0rpm fan button in the unit itself is a blessing to make for an absolutely silent system when paired with a AIO water cooler for your cpu and is especially brilliant when using your computer to watch videos on streaming services.as well as this, it has a very large number of data power cables which was such a good upgrade from my old Corsair powersupply which had 3, i now have all 6 of my case fans connected up along with my 2 hard drives and 2 SSDs which I’ve never been able to do before.

Burnt my HDD (Hard Drive Disk) . Lost all personal data
The experience was great up until it burns 3 hard drives. The rest of the computer is fine, I had to reinstall the windows but it was not a big deal. However get to lose all my personal data, photos, videos documents, in my Hard Disks, this is frustrating.Strange that only the HDD were compromised, the SSD that was using the same power cable as the damaged HDD and the M.2 are fine.Less than 1 second and 12 years of registered memories and important documents went down to the hole.Unboxing experience was really great, the product seems very well built and no longer presents issues after installation (so far).
