How many cups is 3.5 pounds of split peas?

my 5pound bag of split peas perfectly fills my 10cup glass storage bin.

Are these good to eat straight out of the bag?

These are hard and uncooked. They smell lovely, but I would not recommend trying to eat them without some sort of processing (cooking, soaking, grinding, etc.) to enhance digestion (including mastication... I can't imagine chewing these) and bioavailability.

No refrigeration needed in their dried state to transport. Once cooked yes, they need to be refrigerated. I cook up a big batch and freeze containers of the delicious soups.

Do you use any kind of pesticide on your split peas? I don't see an organic symbol

I know that they don't use Roundup, but for any information on pesticides, I suggest you contact the company directly. I can tell you that they are very high quality and delicious.
