Although not all of the marquetry designs shown are full size, the author provides scaled drawings and expansions showing the details when they are needed. The line drawings are clear and the black and white photos provided early in the text give a sense of scale for the patterns contained in the book. For those people wanting to dress up their Craftsman furniture, this is a worthwhile purchase.

This book is a great resource for those of us who wish to see in great detail various inlay patterns in Craftsman furniture. Most photo-oriented books really do not take the time to focus-in on the inlay, leaving the details a blurry mystery. The author has taken the time to reproduce authentic inlays using Autocad line drawings. This is a highly specialized kind of book and I was elated to find it! Leave it to Robert Lang to give us the expert's details.The book could be greatly improved by the addition of close-up color photos of the inlays the designs were taken from.A great addition to the Craftsman movement! A 5-star effort!

Historical intro with full sized drawings of the Inlays. I could not find drawings of the inlays anywhere on the net. The duplicated drawings with suggested materials was exactly what I was looking for and this would have been worth it to me for twice the price.

This book is an invaluable reference for Stickley style furniture. Totally worth the money. It holds all the basic designs for inlays. Shows the true classic Stickley hardware etc. etc.

This is a fantastic book with great drawings of the Stickley era. I purchased the cd along with this so that I may use these drawings to create some incredible inlays for some future projects. If you love stickley furniture and love the inlays, this book along with the CD will give you hours of inspirations for your own home and projects.
