Levi's Men's 501 Original Fit Jeans

I've been hooked on designer jeans for years and have been trying to break the habit, and these jeans have finally done the trick! I like simple lines and minimal detail and these jeans deliver. I'm 5'6", 145 lbs. and these jeans fit my body great in 8M. As another reviewer mentioned, they're a little on the long side before the first washing, but after one wash they lost about 1" in length and now they're perfect. The fit is great--the rise is where it needs to be to keep your undies from showing when you sit, there's the right amount of room through the thigh and leg (snug--not skin tight but not baggy, either), and my butt looks great. :) I love the color (Broken Blue)--a medium, steely blue (not bright). I now have jeans that cost almost $200 and this pair that cost less than $50, and I think they're both of equal quality.

The levi's pants are of great quality, very durable, perfect fit and confortable. But unfortunately they are build different, cut different and uneven. I purchased 2 different pairs one 501 and one 514. I already had a pair or more of each, I ordered new ones with the same specification but different colors. When the new ones arrive neither one fit. One was too small and the other one look too baggy both same sizes. The price is right and I rather save the money but... from now on I will buy them directly from a store. Unfortunately since they are not built uniform you have to try them to know if they fit right.Either way they are my favorite jeans, I highly recommend them.

514s are the best jeans, and these are a pretty good pair. There are two main things I don't like about them:1) Loosening up: They're a little on the stretchy side, and that means they loosen up over the course of a day. I don't wash my jeans after every wear, so they get fairly baggy, at least by my standards.2) Pizzazz: You can kinda tell this from the picture, but they have a faded pattern on the front and back of the legs. It's worse in person, though not 2006 worse. It's difficult finding light jeans without a heavy fade, and this isn't really the pair. Does Levi's know that the lack of junk on their jeans is a big reason we buy them?Here's the main thing I like about them, versus other 514s:1) Casual wash: Even jeans can clash with certain fabrics, especially dark washes. It's kinda hard to match a jean texture and wash to light colored - but non-white - t-shirts, and this is probably the best pair I own for that.Even an average pair of 514s is better than most any other pair of jeans on the market. For reference, I have 38" hips and a 32" waist, and got the 31 x 32 (my usual), and they're too loose. So I'd say that, if a pair has elastic in them, go down a waist size.

The jeans fit just like they do at the store. I would always suggest buying the sizes and brands you know or have tried on at the store first. For example, my waist size is 29 for many jeans but for some styles of Levi’s, like this one, my size is 30. If I had not already discovered this at the store, I would’ve ordered too small and they wouldn’t have fit. Remember the styles have different fits, like slimmer thighs in one and the pants are bootcut in another one. 514’s are my favorite though! Slim fit but not skinny jeans.

I have three pairs of 514's. The first pair, color Dirt Rush, fits great. The second pair is Tumbled Rigid, it's a bit looser than the first pair. The third pair, Rigid Grey, fits more like 'skinny jeans'. The back pockets on the three pairs are three different depths, with almost an inch in variance (my phone fit completely in the second pair, stuck out maybe a quarter inch in the first pair, and nearly three-quarters in the third pair).All three of these jeans are the right size around the waist, with the right inseam, but they fit differently enough that I can't see them all three being the same model number. They're good jeans otherwise, but don't be surprised if the fit's not quite what you expect if you pick up another pair..

These jeans are great for the following reasons:1. perfect fit and length2. great price3. fantastic colour- I can wear this to work and for leisure4. Enough stretch to keep your tummy in shape without discomfort5. Makes your behind look fantastic.6. Looks great with anything- shirts, jackets, t-shirtsIt will become your most beloved wardrobe item.With these features, why would you want to buy any other brand?
