does this fit on a 1 inch barbell?

It will fit the standard gym barbell perfectly (is that a 1 inch barbell?)...the same barbell that I've used at every gym I've worked out at for the last 30yrs. The padding is nice and the kids I trained (both 14 yrs) LOVED it for squats.

That's what I bought it for and it works great. Most bars have a 1 inch grip, and the size variations are more for loading plates.

Can this fit around a bar on a pilates reformer that is 4.25 inches in diameter?

I don't think so, or at least I wouldn't try. The bar I use is between 1 - 1 1/2 inches in diameter.

Good but can be better !

The Harbinger Classic Bar Pad is good and comfortable. Unfortunately, it does not wrap around the olympic bar fully and has a small gap. This causes the pad to slip a bit. Otherwise, it is well padded and is a really good product. Helps a lot when u r lifting pretty heavy weights.
