Are these actually stainless steel?

Yes. They are stored on my porch in an area of high humidity and they do not rust, like the ones they replaced.

Are these pins ball points or sharps?

The pins have glass heads. The first set I received were not sharp at all. The company sent me a replacement set and the replacement set is sharp and will go through my fabric to secure it.

Where are these made ?

Seem to be not an USA-produced pin but they worked wonderfully for my projects. I work on ordinary, every-day fabrics, not heavy or dense ones, and worked well for cotton and for polyester fabrics. Sharp enough to prick my fingers when not paying attention. 😀
