What can I say, it was fun watching Blondie, Paco and Angle eyes on the screen again.

If you were wondering as I was the answer is yes it does have English subtitles for the hearing impaired. I am so glad for that. If not for that I would’ve had to send them back. These movies were fantastic. Brings back so many memories of the old drive-in theaters

I doubt anybody needs a review of these movies as they are Eastwood western classics and that speaks for itself. But what you get is four discs. For some reason For a Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly get single sided discs with labels on the discs. A Fistful of Dollars and Hang 'em High get double-sided discs with Widescreen on one side and pan and scan on the other.As for extras A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More and Hang 'em High only have trailers. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly does have commentary by a historian named Richard Schickel but oddly no trailer.I haven't watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly yet but the others are good copies. There was one part in Hang 'em High that had dust specks on the transfer but most of it was okay and you might not have noticed the trash on the film if I hadn't mentioned it.For the price it's a good deal. You get four Clint Eastwood westerns for under $20. Even if you decide later to go after the 2-disc versions, you aren't out too much cash.

My wife and I like to watch movies late at night and we've been going through a bunch of Clint Eastwood movies. One of the sets we've acquired is the Star Collection which features four of Eastwood's better western films including the three spaghetti westerns. I'd say that all of these films are five star, which makes the collection a very cheap way to view some excellent films.Of the four films in the collection, my favorite is "Fistful of Dollars." I saw this film when it first came out and it is just as good all these decades later. Amazing! My second-best choice would be "Hang 'em High." It's an appealing tale of the wild old west in the Territory of Oklahoma and wild-west justice. My third choice would be a tie between "For a few Dollars More" and "The Good. The Bad and The Ugly." All of these films are excellent, and your top choices may well vary. All, of course, are Clint Eastwood-style westerns and feature a lot of gunfights, deaths, fist fights, explosions and assorted violence. If you take it right, it's a form of dark humor. So to be clear, I’ve only seen “Fistful” from this set (after its delivery this afternoon); however, “Fistful” is the reason I purchased it and I’m so disappointed in the digitally transferred copy used. Amazon lists this set as from 2020 but at least Fistful’s digital transfer is from 1999, when the standards were entirely different1) A movie like “A Fistful of Dollars” needs its original print’s vibrant color scheme for the film to pack its full punch. This old copy looks flat & dull from what appears to be an old print of the film2) There is a thin bright streak along the left edge of the letterbox screen that lasts the full duration of the film.3) The movie comes on a double-sided disc with the 4:3 ratio for old TVs pre-2000s on one side and letterbox, which was what I wanted, on the other. This letterbox size is too small to extend to the sides of our flatscreen tv. We had to zoom in using our TV’s settings, which cut off part of the subtitles.This cheap collection is made for folks with less discerning tastes in quality. I will update after checking out the quality of the other three copies.

Always a great deal for a dvd

This is a great collection of Clint Eastwood older movies, 4 of them.- A fistful of dollars- for a few dollars more- the good, the bad and the ugly- hang 'em highThe best of all it's on 4 dvd's separately, but 2 movies are double sided dvd's . The double sided ones have full screen on one side and widescreen on the other.I honestly hate double sided dvd's, as in this case, when I received them, it was all scratched, but I can always use the other side.

Het zijn 4 geweldige films natuurlijk.Helaas stond niet in de beschrijving dat het hier regio 1 DVDs betreft.Bij 2 films betreft het double sided discs, waarbij de ene kant full frame (16/9 gecropt naar 4/3) is en de andere kant 4/3 letterbox is. De rest is 4/3 letterbox.De kwaliteit van het beeld valt enigszins tegen.
