Brilliant - no more waxing
I had the Epi 7 before and it took so long to do half legs I gave in and went back to waxing. However, fed up of putting up with regrowth between appointments I decided to try the latest model and it is far better mainly because of its wider head so less time and also because of the additional razor head plus trimmer which is really useful. Light is invaluable to see what you are doing and battery life impressive. This model seems to get the shortest hairs so you aren’t left with any strays and skin feels silky smooth and as good as waxing.I wasn’t interested in getting the higher cost package with facial brushes etc as that seems a bit of a gimmick and to be honest the kits you get with this one is everything you need.

Amazing - totally worth the money!
I am a waxing and epilating virgin. Always just shaved for quickness however as you know that gets a little tedious especially in the summer months when it’s every second day! So I thought I would be brave and invest in an epilator, after reading through loads of reviews to choose the best product as well as getting value for money I chose this the Braun silk epil 9-561.First of all really speedy delivery thanks amazon! Secondly WOW - so yes I do have quite a high pain threshold, however I have just epilated my legs and bikini line with virtually no pain at all. And remember this is my first ever time (no waxing or epilating previously). Still to try on my underarms as I am a little more nervous about that 😬Also they are not lying when it says the 40 tweezers catch even 0.5mm hairs. I only shaved on Saturday morning, it’s now Monday evening and my hair does not grow that quick lol! But still managed to get all the stubbly bits from my legs!Honestly I am so so pleased I invested in this. Yes it’s pricey, but you really get what you pay for! It was this one off payment or month after month paying for waxing at a salon! Now I am super excited as I have a 3 week sunny beach holiday to look forward to, with smooth legs, bikini line (& hopefully underarms when I get brave!) yay!

Best Epilator for men
Being a middle aged male cyclist, i wanted something more longer lasting to shave my legs. I have had a cheaper epilator that was not up to the job and hurt so much I gave up. I read many reviews and opted for this model. First impressions were OMG this hurts. Epilating the legs was painful enough, let alone thinking of going anywhere more sensitive. However, the second time, it was less painful. After several sessions you have no pain or discomfort at all. The more you epilate any area the less you notice it. The battery level is good. I can do both entire legs with one charge. I love this and now have silky smooth legs. I get a lot of compliments off women. Once you get used to it, you will never go back.

A good purchase
I have to say I was somewhat dubious about buying this product as it seemed an expensive experiment if it wasn't going to work for me. However, I am delighted I did as I am very pleased with it. I have used it on all parts of my body and have not experienced much discomfort at all, just a slight pricking sensation in the hairier areas. I am not a particularly hairy person though so this probably makes a difference. I wish I'd bought an epilator years ago but there again, I expect the design and efficacy of this type of product has considerably improved over time so perhaps it's a good thing I waited.

Works on short hair a very expensive product from Braun - mid range works just as well
I was initially inundated with requests for feedback after I bought this item but decided to give it a while and a fair run before doing so. One reason was the demise of the last and only epilator I had used for @ 14 years, that epilator was the first in the Braun series. I bought that one in Belize when living there for a period of time, anyone shaving legs got a shaving rash from humidity affecting the blades. That was a very robust little machine so I bought the latest. Unless you want to use the Spa accessories or other attachments, paying for all that and the sparkley finish. I do recommend the product but wish I had bought a mid range which does exactly the same job.I would prefer the option to use it either plugged in as well as charged up. As I have to recharge it mid session. You do get used to epilation if you keep doing it. I would say I'm not big on grooming fastidiously, I do the legs for cycling and when wearing tights. I try to do the legs once a fortnight as its quicker to go over the short hairs and it works better. If I leave my legs any longer than this, my leg hair gets too long for the machine to be of use (for me) I am a hairy git but I kind of prefer epilation to shaving.
