Skar AudioTWS-01 1-Inch 240 Watt Max Power Neodymium Silk Dome Tweeters, Pair

I ordered these as a replacement for my 06 Colorado. The factory tweeters had both blown out and were never very good to begin with, so I decided to find a new set. The speakers themselves are quite sleek, and fit into the door quite well with a little trimming from a Dremel. They wired in without any extensions but extra wire is included if you don't want to do any splicing. The sound quality is quite impressive, especially considering the size. All in all, absolutely amazing for the price. I'll be purchasing a full set of Skar speakers for my truck. Also bonus points for the window sticker. I love stickers.

They sound good just make sure you connect the crossovers they will burn out. And the hardware that is included with the speakers really work well

Well I love them but I dont get why the colors of wire are different on the tweeters than the crossovers so u have to guess how to hook it up I was confused alittle. Other than that all good.

I bought these to replace the Factory A pillar tweeters in my 2004 Nissan pathfinder Platinum work truck with a factory premium Bose system. I gain staged the input to the factory amplifier to get some extra wattage out of it which almost doubled the output of the amp So It's pushing about 45 watts RMS. Stock speakers are 2 ohms but the stock tweets are 4 ohms. I switched them to these with the included base blocker capacitors, and they sound amazing! I have $90 Jbl Gto silk tweeters and $ 80 Polk DB series silk tweeters in my personal car and these Skars sound every bit as good if not better than them. IMO you would have to spend over $150 to get better silk dome tweets then these, They are a genuine bargain! If possible, I recommend mounting them in a way that they are angled toward your listing position, That makes a big difference. For $25 you can't go wrong, buy them and try them, You will not be disappointed, Also you can always count on all Skar products to over preform for their price point. Great company with great customer service.

They are not as tinny sounding as the last pair (different brand). I would give 5 stars, but the issue is the wires coming out of the tweeter are different colors than the ones coming out of the in line capacitor/crossover filtering (solid red and solid black from the tweeter and solid red, red w/black stripe going into and out of the filter). The wires going into the filter aren’t labeled with +/- either and you can’t visually see what is being filtered because of heat shrink. Also the wires coming out of the tweeter aren’t marked +/-, so it’s a guessing game. I wired them up by ear and they sound pretty good (but can’t be sure of the phasing without more testing). I had this issue with an old pair of tweeters and had to do the same thing and honestly it was a pain but I got it to work in the end. I’m going to call Skar tomorrow to get a definitive answer and will update accordingly. I mean for the price, they are pretty solid and are taking the power but I need to ensure the phasing for longer term sound quality/reliability.

I actually bought a similar item from Temu for $14 (US) and installed those a couple weeks ago. They sounded decent, actually. However, I blew them the first day.I was honestly really bummed. See, I got into building systems a little as a teen. We didn't get elaborate or scientific with ohm loads or tuning sub boxes or anything. We just partied and chased girls. I remember once rigging a CD Walkman up to an amplifier that was pushing boom box speakers and a 12 inch speaker from an old home stereo. We were pretty poor, and did what we could, not knowing any better. But, man, we would just cruise and cruise in my buddy's Chevette with these speakers. We even used spray tint in the windows and bolted wire looking hub caps with spinners on them to the wheels to look like Daytons. Lol we smoked a lot of weed, too. We had friends that hooked us up. It was often dirt weed, but it worked.Then I stopped partying for years. Didn't drink, smoke pot, or anything. Something happened, and I started drinking again. It slowly increased to where it became a big problem at home with my wife and kids. I got into some trouble, and stopped drinking. I needed something to occupy my myself, so I bought a little stereo equipment.I put a nice amp in my work van. My eldest son and I built a custom box tuned to 35hz for some awesome Sundown 10s (that slam). We swapped out all the stock 6x8s and added another amp for the new ones. I've designed a console we're going to start building to go on the ceiling of the van which will be professionally finished and house 2 6 inch mid bass woofers and two 3.5 inch Skar super tweeters. Under the first bench seat we installed a custom built box for a Massive Audio gtx 15 sub to get the lows the 10s aren't getting.It sounds pretty good so far. However, being I blew the really cheap Chinese tweeters, I bought better Chinese tweeters. The Skar tweeters in this review are pretty loud and sound OK, but I hate to say that the Temu tweeters may have sounded better. They're dead, though.
