Does really well in repelling deer
Stinks to high heaven and you need to dedicate a garden sprayer for exclusive use, but works well in keeping deer at bay if you don’t get a LOT of rain

This works!
This is the only product that I have found that will actually keep the deer away. When my day lilies started blooming I noticed that the deer would eat the blooms right before they opened. This made me so mad because I look forward to seeing all the different colors. I have about 100 plants. It is a pain to mix up and a little bit icky but it really works. I sprayed the plants plus sprayed the ground surrounding my garden. No more blooms eaten. We are having lots of rain and it doesn't wash off. I have only treated my plants one time and the deer haven't bothered them again. But I didn't spray the two hydrangeas that were close and the deer pretty much wiped them out. I have a grape vine that is 12 years old and I have yet to eat one grape. This year I am going to spray them before the grapes are ripe to see if I can taste the grapes this year. The vines are hanging full of grapes and this will be the ultimate test. I have tried everything I could find to keep the deer from eating my plants and so far this is working. I have lost apple trees, cherry trees, maple trees and other plants to them eating them or horning them.

seemed to work first year - plan to re-order for 2nd year - can be messy to mix up
In the past I had tried other products to keep deer from eating some young pine or spruce trees - evergreens. None of them worked very well. I therefore built some protective 36" tall wire cages around the 4 year old trees, but the deer either poked their head down into the cages thru the open top, or attacked them and pulled the cages out of the ground to get to the trees. I tired this product last year in fall 2018 while the cages were still on, and I had no more -0- deer eating attacks on the trees. This year fall 2019 I am planning to re-order, and try this without the wire cages. I will probably put it on at least 2 times, and maybe 3 times, this fall / winter. It is difficult to mix as some have stated, and it does foam up. I just let the foam alone and allow it break down back into liquid, and then re-stir. I have not had any issues with this clogging up my hand held 1 qt sprayer bottle. I like the fact that the red color allows you see where the spray has landed, and where you may have missed some areas.I mix this up one quart bottle at a time, using the suggested rate of 1 cup per qt of water. The entire package (the normal one lb box) makes 4 qts. One quart enables me to spray about 10 small (24-36" tall spruce trees)In my 2nd box was a strainer which I don't recall getting inside my first box. It is a large open bag type of shape. Per box instructions use this to filter the solution once mixed up so it does not clog whatever sprayer you are using. Tuck the material inside a funnel to pour into a normal size qt bottle. As the strainer / filter gets clogged with either foam or particles, re-position the strainer to get a new area to do the filtering. This product can be messy and if at all possible you may want to mix up outside. It does not seem to permanently stain a surface, but it does stick pretty quickly to anything it touches and with the scooping from a bag, to mixing, to straining and pouring, you are likely to have a bit of a mess to clean up..

This stuff works but...
Works but drives off people as well as deer. I bought the type you have to mix yourself and it stopped up the sprayer. Be sure to use rubber gloves. I finally threw sprayer away. I got some on my skin and it takes a lot to get rid of smell. Lava soap helped but the smell stays awhile. I put it in a milk jug to store and I couldn't store it in the garage. The smell is overpowering. Would only buy again if necessary, but in another form. It is just very expensive. Would be easier to plant things deer don't like! Three stars is because of the mixing & ease of use. It does keep critters away.

works great !but stinks until dry. Lasts along time.
I don't like how bad it smells until it dries, what I like is it lasts a long time doesn't wash of when it rains. I use it on my flowers and newly planted trees and apple trees.

Too messy and the leaves curled up!
UPDATE - Plantskydd responded to my review on their website that this can happen and gave some remedies and prevention ideas. They even offered to replace my product with the pre-mixed version, so they do stand behind their product, which is a plus.ORIGINAL POST - I spent well over two hours, first mixing this concoction exactly per the instructions, letting it sit, straining through the cloth, filling a spray bottle, and then continuously having to unclog the sprayer between spraying my plants that have been munched on by the deer here in Georgia. Finally done. Went out this evening and noticed the leaves on my Ninebark (that I spent $40 for!) were all curled up!! Dead-looking!! I grabbed the hose and washed it down, hoping to save it. Then noticed the oakleaf hydrangeas were affected too! So had to wash them down as well. Hoping that will save them. Went back to the box and on the side it does say, about mid-way down, "Test Sample Plants To Determine Sensitivity" but I read the negative reviews and nowhere did it say anything about it having this effect. Also, although a lot of folks mentioned the smell, and the box mentions smell, my product did not smell at all. And my dog was certainly not repelled by it. The camellias that had been nibbled seem to be immune to the curling problem so we shall see if it works against the deer, but I will not be repurchasing due to the messy mixing procedure and the effect on my plants. I hope I can save that Ninebark!!
