Analysis reveals that this piece of crap isn't made from habaneros
Analysis reveals that this piece of crap isn't made from habaneros. Which is a wimpy pepper anyway. Buy a bike that says "WIMP" instead

A do-it-all frame?
I upgraded to the disc frame when I had a warranty issue develop with my original (canti) cx frame. The warranty customer service from Habanero was fantastic; and I had my new frame built up within two weeks (and it only took that long because they were waiting on new stock to arrive). And I'm confident that the issue w/ the canti bike was exceptional (and not indiciative of a general quality problem).I love that Habanero made a disc option available, as that was the part of cx that I liked the least: dealing with brakes. I had started with Avid cantilevers and then upgraded to TRP mini-V brakes (which were a huge improvement for both shudder and stopping performance), but never felt like braking was a very solved problem. And changing wheelsets always meant re-adjusting, which was never trivial. The disc brakes are fantastic for stopping confidence when riding off-road or in wet of freezing conditions. I love the simplicity of adjusting [mechanical] disc brakes. Even swapping wheels with different hubs just means a few clicks in or out on the caliper, much (much) simpler than moving pads & readjusting toe-in, etc. Of course, there are some considerations when using disc brakes on a road bike: you need disc wheels (135mm rear hub spacing), disc fork, and you will need to get creative if you want to mount fenders (the Jandd Disk Brake/Fender Adapters - 1 Pair are very helpful).More generally, I love this frame; it has the same geometry as the canti version. I use it for commuting and have the luxury of being able to take a singletrack detour through a park on the way to/from work. And while riding a cx bike on singletrack is not as natural as a mountain bike, it's pretty nice having a bike that is comfortable on both pavement and dirt.My only recommendation to Habanero would be to drill the stops to allow for solid cable housing between the seat-tube/top-tube junction and rear brake. Ideally solid housing all the way back would be good for those that wish to run hydraulic when that becomes a more mainstream option. All in all, I love this bike -- and have ridden the snot out of it since finishing the build.

Worth it.
In 6 years I've put 14k miles on my Hab CX frame and it's still like new. Believe me, it hasn't had an easy life. I still love the attention paid to little things like cable routing and the threaded bottom bracket that accepts a Shimano Hollowtech II that NEVER CREAKS.I can also speak highly of their customer service. Last year I bought a bare Hab road frame and built it up with my own components. Mark generously helped me out with some small parts I needed (and couldn't find!) to finish my bike assembly. Thanks to him for making me a loyal customer.

Wonderful touring platform
Have done many thousands of miles of fully loaded touring on this frame. It is amazingly stable, stiff and yet comfortable. No wobble even with a 90 pound trailer. Put 2.1" Marathon Almotion tires on and it rolls like a dream too! Have never looked back since buying this frame.
