Much easier to use than the hand crank type.
This works in my kitchen aid classic mixer head, and does a really good job. I make fairly stiff Chinese noodles and need to hand roll the dough pieces to get them started ( same for hand crank) and it is important to not overload the mixer motor which might happen with a stiff dough at full width. Start half width or less and it will grow wider as you decrease the thickness. Once it is where you want it, I find the narrow cutter makes what I would call linguini fini, just slightly wider than spaghetti. The wide makes perfect fettuccini width. It also cuts cleanly where I often had to try to separate the hand cranked ones. It is pretty rugged and with proper use (no dishwasher ) it won’t rust. The only con I have is that the marker and numbers on the dial and face are hard to read being etched on rather than stamped. I just look down to see how far apart the rollers are shen I start, and count the clicks from there. The numbers are there, but I don’t see them looking down when it is on the counter. They should have put the pointer on the top edge of the side plate and the numbers on the dial. That way you’d always see which number was lined up with the pointer. All said, it is so much more convenient, I use it al least once a week and even if I only want a single bowl of noodles. You can always make any width you want by folding the finished dough with a little corn starch on it to keep it from sticking to itself and cut it like taking slices off the end of the folded “log”

Pasta mAker
The name brand Kitchen Aid pasta maker was too expensive for me to purchase at this time so I thought I would give this one a try which includes the dough roller and two pasta makers on one attachment. The hardest part is the dough roller of this attachment. Trying to adjust the thickness with the buttons that stick was a chore and the attachment didn’t fit well. With many tries I was able to finally make some pasta but just remember that old saying you get what you pay for. I would say stick with the brand name Kitchen-aid pasta attachment if you can afford it.

Works great
I thought I would try this product since it has the roller and 2 cutters all in one unit, and it's priced well. I found I agreed with other reviewers who said it was much handier to have all three in one so you're not stopping to change attachments between rolling and cutting. Some people reported problems with reading the dial for rolling thickness, so I checked it carefully before I started so I would know how to adjust through the rolling process. It's not easy to read, but it can be done.I was very pleased with the outcome. Can't comment on durability, as I only used it once so far, but it was a good experience, the result was as expected, and it was easy to clean the attachment when I was done.

Instruction for use are less than useless
To begin, the instructions reference dial settings on the pasta roller that aren't there or don't make sense. For angel hair use 7 or 8, but the numbers only go up to 6. No mention of 0 in the instructions at all, although it does appear. Next, the instructions seem to indicate that the rollers should get closer to make the dough thinner as the numbers increase. But this doesn't appear to be the case. I can't get the past thin enough, and then the rollers start to separate again after number 3 or 4.The instructions for cleaning reference items that don't exist (the lid) and it isn't included in the diagram (just in case you're just not seeing it). The cleaning instructions don't work (they tell you to let any dough dry and then use the brush to remove it). After trying to get the dry dough out from between the teeth for more than 20 minutes I lost patience. It says to completely disassemble the Pasta Roller and cutters. What!? How?! No help there either. This devise has been responsible for two very frustrations attempts to use it. The dried dough won't come out from between the teeth, and interferes with the pasta passing through, rendering it completely useless. I'm done.

Great value for you dollar
One attachment for this vs. many for the Kitchen Aid one. Much easier to store, made of metal and seems like it will last for a long time.Saw this on one of those "Flash" sales and I could not resist as I was already looking for a replacement for my manual maker. Don't get me wrong the manual one was a very good quality one but it was manual and it took much too long to make the pasta.I am looking forward to many years of homemade pasta.

Easy for the novice pasta makers out there.
I have stopped buying egg noodles, and only make my own using this attachment. Simple to use, easy to clean, just make sure you don't put wet pasta through it, let you pasta dry for 15 minutes before using the rollers.
