Super comfortable and warm
Good looking shoes. Warm in winter. Wore them right out of the box without “breaking them in”. Waterproof and not a heavy 👠

Amazing fit and comfort out of the box!!
I normally don't write reviews, but I love these. There's no break-in period. They fit perfect. Well made and good priced business casual boot. Thanks Rockport.

Looks sharp, size is wider than expected, nice casual shoe
I picked up a pair of these boots in the "Dark Bitter Chocolate Suede" (which sounds like a bad name for a band now that I type it out) size 13 wide. And they are wider, almost too wide. I can tell that a size 12 would not work and past experience with 13 regular sized shoes has typically not worked out long term. The boots looks sharp and feel pretty good. Arch support is not superb so I augment it with a pair of inserts for more cushioning and support. They are appropriate for work, social events, and dry weather outings. But I do not wear them on rainy days. The build quality seems OK, not quit high-end but like these should last several years with routine normal use. The dark chocolate color matches well with jeans or cords and the understated looks do not call undue attention to my size 13 feet.

A Great Pair of Dress Causal Ankle Boots...!
The boots will make a great accessory to your wardrobe. Please consider that the boots are not a snow, winter or rain boots. The boots are a true dress causal style item. You may need to add a separate pair of waterproof dress or dress causal boots or snow boots to your wardrobe if you live in a cold or rainy climate. The boots are rather ruggedly built, but they are not clunky. They may feel a little stiff during your first two wearing, but they will soon loosen-up and begin to feel more and more comfortable. The boots will look quite stylist with a pair of jeans or with a pair of very nice dress slacks. The boots has the appearance of a much more expensive pair. Please purchase a neutral color shoe shine sponge or a sponge the color of the boots in order to keep your boots looking their maximum best. The only issue I have with the boots is that they often come untied due to the apparent waxing on the laces; however, inexpensive replacement laces from Amazon or your local store will take care of that.

Very good looking and felt premium, well made, good material. Bit hard for me, so I can't wear it everyday

Buy Wide & Put inserts in them
These shoes are not horrible. they are built decent, look good, and are light on the foot. Now the down side. Worse than most third- world made shoes, these shoes aren't just smaller than standard UK or USA size standard, they are extremely narrow. Than God I listened to another reviewer that said to buy them wide. GOOD CALL FOR TWO REASONS! 1/ the wide size offers a nice and roomy toe box and arch support for a standard male D width and 2/ there is NO arch support in these shoes at all (thanks to yet another reviewer for mentioning that need- got mine!). I bought the shoes right alongside a pair of Dr. Scholls basic arch inserts and it literally transforms the shoes from being a torture device to a comfortable, casual work shoe that you can tolerate all day. Tjhe soles are soft and so they wear down wherever you slide or drag your feet, but thats to be expected. the uppers have a worn in look immediately which is fine as it fits the shoe, but the lining is man- made so there is sweating in warm weather. So in closing, they are not great but doable for guys with big feet, as long as you get wide sizing. I am a 14D standard width foot all day long and I definitely needed the wide on these.

Great look & fit, poor manufacture & customer service
Love the look and feel of these boots. My favorite work shoe. But the laces broke after 5 days. Fine, I ordered new laces. The next set of laces broke after two weeks. I'm watching my fourth set of laces in two months start to fray - on both shoes. Then the other day, I noticed an internal grommet had come out (for the lower two eyeholes, the grommet is internal between outer and inner leather). We contacted Rockport to see if it was a one-off on a bad set of boots; they said because we bought through Amazon, they couldn't help us. Too bad. It's disheartening to find something that is so right, only to discover an annoying flaw and learn that the manufacturer has no interest in fixing the problem.
