Mad River Harmony Ash Yoke

The yoke worked out nicely to replace the broken one on my mad river canoe. The only downside was the color of the wood did not match my seat ash wood. I even tried sanding off the finish but it did not take the spar urethane color as the rest. Maybe a different ash variety?

Proper fit seems well made

Had an older Pelican Colorado Canoe that the middle seat broke (common problem in those boats apparently). Cut this yoke down to size along with a new thwart and the boat is as good as new (if not better than new).

Worked well, good finish, clear straight grain. Not as robust as the original.

The quality of the wood and finish is everything I expected. I recommend Mad River Canoes for their wonderfully crafted boats and parts.
