So, the local characters around here seem to like prising planks off our garden shed to see if there is anything of value in there (there isn't). Something had to be done, hence the camera.Initial setup of the camera okay - I found it easiest to just plug a Cat5 cable in to do this. Once set up, the only problems were logistical - getting power and wi-fi through a two foot stone wall. I'd thoroughly recommend the VONETS VAP11S Industrial High Power 2.4GHz WiFi Bridge/Repeater/Mini Router/ Ethernet to WiFi Adapter to solve the wi-fi issue. Once up, the camera works fine - picture quality in daylight and IR is good. You can tweak sensitivity and scan zone to suit your requirements and the app is fine once you get the hang of it. Alerts show you a few seconds of video so that you can judge if they are worth more attention. Images save well to an SD card - 32Gb is more than adequate and it can be set to overwrite the oldest alerts once full. By default the LEDs in the camera emit a low red glow at night which suits us well as we primarily see this unit as a deterrent. Alerts so far are only triggered by pigeons, insects and rain so (which is fine by us). Weather proofing was an important factor for us as we live on the West Pennine Moors so exposed to lots of rain, but there have been no condensation in the camera or electrical issues.Customer support has been good - Becky has been very proactive in checking that everything is working for us. Would recommend :-)Update January 2023 - adding a second W9 camera.Our first W9 has stood up well to our (wet and windy) local weather and is stable and reliable, so we were confident in adding a second unit. Very easy to do this - just scan the QR card on the new camera and add to the existing network (took about two minutes, if that). Slight enhancement change to the firmware, threw me initially but Cathy on support responded quickly and that was sorted. These Wansview cameras are great value for money and very reliable with good technical backup if you need help - would recommend.

EDIT: So this is now the second one I have had from this company that has failed. I have tried all the steps they recommend to fix it but nothing works. They just stop working, the won’t connect to the network, the stop working all together. I’ve not managed to get 2 years out of a WANSVIEW camera sadly.So I originally purchased BLINK cameras. These days they want you to pay money to look through the lens of your permanently wired mini cameras for more than 30 seconds. I won’t go on about them as they’re turd! WANSVIEW, so after the situation with having to pay BLINK I purchased an indoor rotating WANSVIEW camera. Over the last year it’s been so good that I decided to start to replace my outside BLINK cameras as well. This W9 is fantastic for the price! You just can’t go wrong, the system itself is built well and the app it connects to is great, personally I have had no issues at all. Set up is simple, takes a minute or so. Camera quality is good at 1080p, the field of view is fantastic. Just all round great. There are cloud based paid options but you don’t have to use them, they start at £2.99 and go up to around £15 a month depending on how many cameras you have or how long you want you content stored for, many many options with lots of prices in between to really customise what it is you want. Outside of that the system supports up to 128gb Micro SD card so you can use that along side the cloud service or instead of it. Also night vision is great. In the box you get everything you need, the camera, 3 meter power cable and adapter, Ethernet cable, antenna for Wi-Fi connection, a template to help fix it to the wall, a quick start guide and a small sticker for your window to show you have 24 surveillance. I highly recommend WANSVIEW devices not just this outside camera but all of their range because I have had a great experience with their products.Edit: Ok so now I’ve had it for a while I have more feedback. The paid service isn’t worth having. I had an issue with someone trying to get in my house, I wanted to save the video from the cloud to my phone or any device really but it wouldn’t let me, just constantly failed. I contacted support but they wanted access to the camera which I’m not keen on.You can however save from the memory card which at the time I didn’t have fitted because I thought there’s no point having both cloud and memory card. So I said to customer service shall I just do that and they said yes. So I cancelled the cloud service and use the memory card which is far superior. The only thing is they stop you having rich notifications. So if you pay for cloud you get notifications on your phone showing what it’s seen. If you use a memory card it will just show that someone was there with no image.Bit annoying but yet again they want you to pay to get the small, most useful feature, but the ability to save a video of a potential issue around your home isn’t available so any of the prices aren’t worth it. Shame really. Time to look for something else, again.

On unboxing the camera, one of the first things i noticed was that the build was solid - I was somewhat apprehensive about the strength of the mount and the antennae but it's well put together.The camera was easy to configure on the WiFi, there is also an ethernet option but I didn't wish to install cabling to the outside where I would mount the camera.Colour balance and picture quality very good, in day time and night time. The camera has tilt and pan functionality which means the visibility of the surrounding area is great - i particularly like this feature as my current camera (a ReoLink Argus 2) is static and so sometimes you can't pickup what's going on clearly.I haven't yet needed to use the camera sharing option - but this seems like helpful functionality that works like the Ring doorbell sharing. For saving the recordings, you can subscribe to the cloud, or you can save to an SD card - I used the memory card option as I didn't want to be tied into a subscription service. The recordings can then simply be plugged into a PC to read off the memory card, or you can stream them using the app.A great purchase and I am thinking of purchasing another to cover the back of the house.

Great camera quality in the day and at night. Just too sensitive to rain and flys etc. I get far to many unnecessary notifications. Changing the motion detection doesn't change this either. Also, gutted it doesn't motion track like the light bulb camera does. For this I am looking at changing cameras to one that does. But overall, the camera is good and was very easy to set up and install.

Die Wlan Kamera für den Außenbereich ist sehr gut! Sie hat sich gut mit unserem Heim-WLAN verbinden lassen und einfach im Außenbereich anbringen lassen.Via app lässt sich die Kamera gut drehen. Manchmal bleibt sie hängen wenn man den Winkel schnell bis an den Anschlag dreht. Die Bildqualität über die App finden wir sehr gut und auch das Zoomen in die Bilder funktioniert sehr gut.Über die App hat die Kamera die Möglichkeit die Geräusche zu hören und auch selbst über das Mikrofon zu sprechen.Für uns hat sich die Investition gelohnt und wir sind nach 3 Montaten im Einsatz sehr zufrieden.

Caméra très réactive facile à connecter avec un service technique compétent et rapide au question, des réponses avec des schémas détaillé.J'en ai 5 de la même marques et tous fonctionne très bien.

Facile installazione e configurazione. Sarebbe meglio se dotate di batteria tampone . Ottima l app per la gestione di piu telecamere. Visione e qualità delle immagini ottima

Bonjourj'avais déjà mentionné commentaire ci dessous il y quelques mois lors de l'achat de mes caméras.Le 7 décembre 2022 suite à un problème de serveur j'ai du réinstaller mes 3 caméras et comme j'avais des difficultés j'ai contacté le SAV Wansview qui m'a envoyé très rapidement des explications et une notice très bien expliquée en français grâce à laquelle j'ai pu reconfigurer et remettre en route mes caméras.Je peux affirmer avoir fait le bon choix en achetant des caméras Wansview car le SAV est vraiment efficace. (merci Viviane)BonjourJ'ai acheté chez Vanswiew 3 caméras qui sont en service pour la plus ancienne (une W5) depuis 2 ans et pour les plus récentes (une W9 et une W5) depuis un mois. La qualité d'image est bonne de jour comme de nuit, la possibilité de connexion par le réseau mobile est bonne ainsi que la possibilité de gestion des alertes et de relecture (mes caméras sont équipées de cartes SD que j'ai ajouté).L'installation de ces caméras est très simple et j'ai fait appel au service assistance Vianswiew pour la configuration (suite à une erreur de ma part sur le code de ma box) et j'ai apprécié l'efficacité de cette assistance (merci Mathilda).En synthèse : trés bon rapport qualité prix et une assistance-SAV excellente.

La cámara tiene buenas prestaciones; Fácil de configurar, gran alcance por wifi, calidad de imagen, no se cuelga, admite hasta 128 GB de tarjeta para grabaciones, tiene una buena app para su uso y configuración que se gestiona perfectamente desde el teléfono móvil.La respuesta es inmediata para el movimiento de la lente, buena imagen de noche sin luz, en definitiva considero que una buena compra: la aconsejo.Un año ya usándola..y ni un problema.
