The Paper Dragon

I read this to a group of boys at a camp. The ages ranged from 5 to 12. At first, the older boys scoffed at the idea of a story being read to them. So, I started reading this story to the younger ones. Almost immediately, Mi Fei's adventure drew the older boys over. By the time the first beautiful four-page painting was opened, they were crowding around, drinking in the pictures, and anxious to see how Mi Fei dealt with his impossible dilemma.This is my favorite picture book. The art is fantastic, the story is beautiful. It has so much heart. This should be added to any child's library.

The book was in great condition, with no visible wear to the cover or interior pages. The package arrived on-time and was appropriately packaged to avoid unnecessary damage during delivery.We purchased the book as a replacement copy for my son's classroom after he accidentally lost the original during a family vacation. The story is wonderfully written and was enjoyed countless times by both of my children, three and eight years in age. Within the pages you'll find a rich narrative and captivating imagery. I highly recommend for young readers.

This is a magical story in which the main character (a scroll painter) solves three riddles to save himself and his village from a terrible dragon. It gently teaches children about the power of love. The extraordinary illustrations by Robert Sabuda are presented mostly on fold-outs that occupy three pages for each illustration. Opening the illustrations will both engage children and give them a grander view of the story than typical of most books for 5-8 yr olds.

This was one of my favorite children's books when I was young, and unfortunately one that I forgot about until recently. It's a beautiful story with even more beautiful illustrations.

Mint condition and perfect for use in the schools and library storytimes

The illustrations in this book are fabulous. The story is wonderful too and my students love to listen to it and look at the pictures.

I bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter who loved the story. However, beautiful and detailed as the illustrations are I wondered whether they were appealing enough for her age range. The story is lovely and caught her imagination but the pictures are more for and adult to appreciate.

Preciosa historia con preciosas ilustraciones. Para niños mayores de 6 años. Tiene bastante texto aunque se entiende bien el inglés. Aunque no sea un libro pop up es muy recomendable!!
