Tight seal, no leak. Great design with cap and sprout on the same side
Researched and tried several water containers and finally came down to this one which does not disappoint. Benefits are;1. Spigot and cap both do not leak even when it is complete full, I have the 2.5 gallon version. May be it has been improved (my purchase date was Sept 2018), I almost did not purchase this due to some of the one star reviews. The cap side has a soft foam seal against a 3mm flat lip and the spigot side has a rubber ring. If you sit on it, it may leak but there is no possible way for it to leak under normal use.2. The container is semi-transparent allowing me to see how much water is left. If it is a dark color would prevent algae under the sun but transparency suits my need inside my camper. This container is not designed for long term water storage.3. Material is a thick hard shell quality plastic, unlike the foldable kind I tried which was too thin and collapses4. Spigot is very durable, easy to open and close (Clockwise to open)5. Spigot and cap are located at the same side, so I can face them up when not in use to prevent accidental leakage6. Comes with a durable carrying handle also on the same side as spigot and cap which again prevents accident during transport7. The cap acts as a vent hole, more volume of water flow when it is opened but still flows when closed8. Spigot protrudes below the base of the container for ease of use but swings 360 easily avoiding hitting the table topThe only draw back is, it is expensive at almost $19 but I believe you get what you pay for. No regret for the purchase so far.

Thick plastic
I use water container in my truck to wasch my hands, face, brush my teeth, when running water is not available (some places still limit the access to the restrooms) and I've used different containers that had one thing in common, they were cracking and leaking pretty fast, simply, because they were made out of thin plastic. This one looks thick and sturdy so, I have high hopes for it. Both, faucet and screw cup are on the top and if I keep it in up right position, shouldn't have any problems with leaks (didn't have any so far) I'm buying another one, just in case if I need it and they decide not to make it anymore.

Great Sturdy Water Jug
I like this water jug because it hasn't leaked (yet). The plastic material is medium thick sick, not the think plastic on other water jugs sold on amazon. I've had it for over 2 months and one instance the nozile started to leak, but I found out the rubber washer inside adjusted out of placement, thus not giving it a tight seal. If this happens to you, just use a smart object to realign the washer into the correct place. It now closes the seal and works wonderful.I give minus a star because the fill nozziles are not large, so it is difficult to fill. Why couldn't they make a larger hole on top? So silly.Otherwise, this water jug works great. I recommend!!!

I'm a trucker and carry my home filtered water to the truck.
I've used the 1 gallon water jugs before in the past but they've sprung a leak and not because I've dropped the jugs or anything. This thing is made from real thick plastic. The nicest feature of this jug is the spigot, it is really durable and doesn't leak (so far) I've had this for about a month and have filled it 4 times. I'm buying a 2nd unit because I'm tired of having to transfer water into it from the other 1 gallon jugs. I had to buy a small funnel because you spill the water when transferring water due to the small opening that you have to pour the water into it. Not fun getting your socks wet.The best thing about the spigot is it has a small opening so the water pours into what ever you are filling and when you shut it off they've built in a anti droplet spout so the all the water comes out of the spigot and none is waisted or drips out later when banging down the road. Nice feature guy.Anyway, I recommend it as it is a great way to transport water.

Great product.
I use this to store large quantity of cleaning solution for my robot mop. I do keep it upright, so I can't attest to any leaking.

Refill Cap Leaks
We have had these containers for a few years now and consider them essential for our use. We need to be able to have water and some organic inputs for vegetables we propagate indoors. Size and shape a perfect to stow on the side and pour through the valve as needed. Issue is the back cap or refill cap. It absolutely leaks. It's like it needs a grommet or O-ring. Major design flaw. So we can't ever fill it completely. If the entire container was actually water tight, this would get 5-stars.

Perfect! Doesn't leak
This thing is fantastic! I needed a water dispenser for my fridge, and the last two that I've had have leaked all over everything and been generally impossible. I've had this one about a month, and it doesn't leak at all!! The spout is slightly cumbersome to use with one hand, but totally worth it for no leaks! It's also super easy to fill and move with the handle. When you put it in the fridge, unscrew the lid and just set it on top (to keep dust or whatever out). That lets the pressure out so the water flows properly. Overall, it's exactly what I needed and I wish I'd bought this one first!

I have had these just a year, but need to replace. Not worth the pric
I have need using these for potable water since purchasing in our motorhome. Yesterday the spicket threads started leaking like a sieve, rendering this useless for us. If I tried to tighten to stop the leak, the threads just jump, not tighten, and leaked water. I am so disappointed, as I had high hope these would be serviceable to us for many years.
