Yes, it will work. Every CPU needs Thermal Paste; every thermal paste is pretty much the same. Just look at a video on how to apply it, it's pretty simple, can't really get it wrong.

Hi, it doesn't need time to settle. Just apply evenly the paste on the chip "CPU" and you are good to install the heatsink. All done !
