Bought this to replace the original motor which stopped working after a small frog managed to get up on roof and then jump into bathroom fan. Yeah, I've no explanation for that,but anyhow... I hesitated about contacting dealer to make a warranty claim because that's always such a hassle, so i found this item on Amazon instead.I'm shocked at how inexpensive it is. There's no instructions included,but it's basically plug and play,except i had to drill new holes in original mounting tab. The included fan is almost identical to my original,but the motor is larger and the mounting screws are larger and spaced further apart. Also,the bearing on the face of the motor is larger too,so i had to widen the hole on the mounting tab to fit that. The only improvement i imagine is to include a template to easily lay out holes for quicker installation. I'm very pleased though because this new unit moves more air than the original. I just installed this yesterday,so i won't speak about long term durability just yet,but I'll update this if my opinion changes.

The price was right. The fan dimensions are identical to my old one. However, it would have been nice if they told me the mounting hole size. My old one had a 3/8 inch diameter hole. This one requires a 1/2 inch hole diameter. Therefore, the hole needed to be drilled out with a 1/2 inch metal bit. Add the price of the bit to the cost of this change-out if you don't have one. Also, had to drill the holes for the mounting screws through the existing mounting plate. These are smaller, obviously, but still not a one for one fit compared to the old one. The distance between these two mounting screws would have been helpful, too. The electrical hookup was straight forward. The fan works fine and is about as noisy or maybe a little quieter than the original. I would buy it again.

Much better than original equipment! Fit fine, easy install. Felt like it might suck the water out of the shower and exhaust it out the roof.

Worked great. Direct fit. Wires were slightly shorter than original so had to change the routing. Would definitely buy again
