Save your money
I used this printer for 2 weeks and I strongly discourage you if you intend to buy one. Replaced the ink cartridges with refurbished ones from Amazon. Worked just fine until the software successfully updated the printer BOIS and put an end to that. Support was a useless call center in India who were happy to inform me that I had to use Epson cartridges, or nothing was going to work. The low yield cartridges are $80 for a set and print 350 8.5x11 pages. The higher yield cartridges are $140 a set and print ~1000 pages. The print quality is great, shame the company that makes this printer is dead set on extorting as much money as possible from its customers. All for them and as little as possible for you and devil take the hindmost. Save your money. Epson sucks. Designed obsolesces at finest. Subscribing to a business that behaves this way makes about as much sense as a pre-paid venereal disease.

So far, very good
I will update this review periodically, so far setup was a little confusing but easy and quick, I use a USB cable so I can’t speak to the ease of operating via WiFi. One appealing aspect of this printer is just that, it’s a printer, it has no fax or scan capability, I need neither, so I felt maybe all my money was going in to the printer and not unused features. The fact that it’s single-function may explain Amazon’s cautionary statement about it being a frequently returned item. If that’s the case buyers aren’t paying attention. The screen takes a little getting used to but again, once it’s figured out it’s fine. Some may feel the printer is too big, but it prints tabloid/ledger size paper, it’s gotta be a certain size just because of that. It replaces a 14 year old Brother that took up more space than the Epson does. I will only be printing 11x17 monochromatic on this, so I like that I can load 11x17 paper in both trays, and I also like that In the print setup there’s a black and white selection, I hope this minimizes use of the colored ink cartridges. The auto duplex was an important feature, as everything I print is two sided and it works very well on this Epson, such a time saver. The print quality is good on the standard setting, certainly acceptable in most cases, the higher setting is very good. I like that the tray automatically extends to receive the printed pages. Stay tuned for updates…January 2025- So far I can safely say this is the best printer I've ever used, it's fast, consistent, the standard settings produce a very nice document, when you send it a job it starts right away, no waiting for it to get going, it truly is amazing for the price.

Excellent, easy to set up and use
This printer is very easy to set up and use. (I would give it more stars except it uses a lot of ink, which is expensive.) It helps to look at the instructions when starting up with it, to see where the large format paper goes. The print quality is amazing, but it's a little loud when the receiving tray comes out.

Large printer that can print large paper!
The media could not be loaded. This is my first time getting an Epson printer. Reading the reviews I was a little worried but so far so good. This is the largest printer that I could find that can print 11x17s. And it works exactly the way I needed. Now it is just a printer it's not a scanner or anything like that. However it is very quick at printing, a lot faster than my HP printers. The quality of the prints are excellent. It was very easy to set up the printer, just had to install a few apps on my phone to get things working. I've had no issues with the wireless connection at all, it connects every time which is way better than a lot of the other printers I've dealt with. I got it on sale, I'm assuming there's probably way newer models but this one is excellent just the way it is for my needs. Was worth every penny!

Ink hog and very expensive to operate.
Epson has got it figured out. They practically give you a decent printer but the ink is highway robbery. This is a printer that can do 11x17 printing. It would suggest semi-commercial use. But the cartridges are so tiny you have to replace them constantly and a set is about $80. They claim much higher page count than you can get. I get approximately 200 8.5 x 11 pages for $80 (standard size). That's about 40 cents per page, not considering mistakes. I do have photos with the print, but most people do. If you want to do any volume at all, get a lazer printer, and research the cost per page first. The printer costs more but it iwll pay you back many times over. You can use aftermarket ink (I have read), which is cheaper, but Epson did an update 02-26-23 and if you update your driver, your printer will never work with an aftermarket cartridge, so you will be locked into buying Epson ink. They are currently being sued for this. NEVER update the driver. IF you buy a printer now, it will likely have the old driver, but eventually they will all have the new one. I am reading about a CISS system, which is constant ink supply system you can add to your ink jet printer. Totally non epson and much cheaper, with many options and allows for high volume and low cost. Haven't done it, so can't verify how it works, but there are videos...
