Hi, to prepare an uruguayan mate style, you should fill a half cup (mate). Then tilt the cup and form an earring with the grass. With the cup tilted, fill with natural water halfway up the slope and wait for the grass to get wet. Finally in this hole you have created fill with hot water until almost the top and repeat this process until the hot water does not drain any more. This process takes between 5 -15 min. The effect of caffeine dependes the frecuency of the persone consume mate For a regular consumer mate it is no to much caffeine drink this yerba but for a person that starts to consume maybe feel the cafeine effect but enought to be awake and concentrated more than a cup of cafe .

Is this Product from Uruguay or from Brazil?

Brazil. I am used to Paraguayan tea, but that is not readily available. This tea is not bad at all.
