Once again, it's MAKITA!!! Pricey but well worth it!
Once again, it's MAKITA!!! Pricey but well worth it, the Makita EY402MP 10" Pole Saw Couple Shaft Attachment does not disappoint! As a homeowner tackling my own yard work, I've INVESTED in the Makita line, and I can confidently say it's one of the most heavy-duty and reliable pole saw attachments on the market. The construction is rock-solid, with a sturdy metal shaft and a robust coupling system that ensures a secure connection to my Makita power head. The 10" blade is perfectly balanced, making it easy to maneuver and cut through even the toughest branches. I've used this attachment to prune and cut down trees of various sizes, and it's performed flawlessly every time. The cutting performance is exceptional, with smooth, clean cuts that make quick work of even the most demanding tasks. The attachment is also surprisingly lightweight, considering its heavy-duty construction. This makes it easy to maneuver and use for extended periods without fatigue.

Good Makita Tools (as always)!
A well made tool as has been my experience with all things Makita. I use this with the Makita 40v power head and Makita extension pole for trimming back trees on my property line. I have not had any issues with its use in the 1+ years I’ve used it and I do not have any issues with bar oil leaking from the reservoir. One thing to keep in mind is this tool, with the power head is a bit heavy. Make sure you use the shoulder sling that comes with your power head to help steady the saw and reduce the fatigue from its use.

Great pole saw attachment!
Love this saw. Great build quality and is the best pole saw I have purchased. Easy on and off from the motor. Great cutting ability and allows me to trim my trees and bushes with ease. With it being on the pole it helps safely cut branches. If you have a Makita weed eater, you need this attachment.

Works great.
Cuts very well and uses the same chain as my Makita electric chainsaw.

Revised Review
Revising my review. My first one broke before I could even use it.I am using the dual battery power headSo my saw showed up today and I was eager to test it out.Assembly was simple enough. Put the chain and bar on, add oil, useI never really used a pole saw before but this thing is awesome! zips right thru big ol branches like nothing. I went around and cut some stuff I couldnt reach, and there were some really large "stumps" about 6 inches around left over from someone else trimming them. Stuck out about a foot. ZIP! No problemA couple of times it stopped running and the indicators for the power were blinking. It happened a few times, I think it was some kind of safety if the chain faced resistance. The last time it did it, it took quite awhile for it to go back to work, about 20 seconds. Not sure what that was about...With that said, yeah this thing is really nice. I like it and look forward to cutting every branch off in the neighborhood.I also got an extender for it, which i havent used yet.Its pretty light weight, easy to use, effective. The cover for the chain that you remove to install the bar feels really flimsy though. One little thing i didnt like, is it cant really rest on the ground to put the oil in, it tips over. There is a foot down there and something else that looks like a foot but its flexible. I had to prop it up.Also, the guard you put on the bar after you are done using it fits on okay and doesnt fall off too easily, but it seems like that should be something that kinda clicks into place. I'm a little concerned about hanging it without the cover falling off over time. All in all, i am glad i bought the thing though.__________two for two on makita problems today. i was putting the chain on this guy and the tensioning screw snapped off before it was even close to tight.Sending it back... wait 2 more days for replacement and try again...

Love it; cut small and large
Got this to cut upper part of my fruit trees from growing too tall. It reached high enough (maybe 7 to 8 ft) to do just that and also cut thru small branches with it - afraid it may jam the blades doing small branches but it didn't.I was doing so good that decided to tackle large piece about 8 to 10 inches in diameter. No problem - in no time it was cut in small sections. I have regular chain saw but this pole saw did handle better. Guess I like it better because the saw dust didn't reach my face or cloths with the long handle.Switching from pole saw to string-trimmer is easy. Now need to figure how to store them in my garage full of other tools.

Almost worth the price maybe.
Makita hooked me with the power head so I continue to spend twice as much on attachments as I would on individual tools. Not sure about overall value, but all the attachments are very well made. This is no exception.Does not come with chain oil.
