Great product
Happy with purchase. Product arrived on time and in good condition. Projects are a bit more advanced and complicated than expected, but instructions are pretty clear to follow. Husband is exited to make them and learn more skills

Good for people who are more than novice skill and in my opinion require a Lathe
I was a little disappointed as nearly all of the projects had weels and require dowels. I was Looking for more things that only require hand tools but a lot require a lathe. Also the plans were not very comprehensive. Just not really what I was looking for or based on my skill level or tool availability. Also, pretty disappointed with the projects themselves. Each item was great but there were like 4 Model T versions which they are basically the same projects same with trains there were several trains and train cars and though each had slight variations, they are the same basic project.

Great projects
I really like this book and it has given me ideas of different things to build for my loved ones. The plans could be a little better detailed. Other than that good buy.

Some good ideas in here
I like the book however I'm taking a star off because the plans are not full size. So it's not just a matter of copying and printing you will have to put a bit more work into them to get the proper scale you want. A good selection of models and it seems the author liked trains the best and aircraft the least. Overall not a bad buy.

Not bad, but I'd recommend you buy two others instead
This book is OK. Not great, not horrible, but OK. There are a lot of projects in here (they say 50) however several of them are individual cars for a train set, which I would argue are pieces of a single project and not separate projects. The stuff looks nice in some cases but the aesthetics that two of the other notable authors come up with are a bit better, namely Jim Makowicki two books and Les Neufeld book on building toy trucks, which look a bit more like pieces of art.My main complaint is that this book kind of misses the mark by making things too complex in several cases, or the drawings/templates are too small to be useful, or it makes the toys so simple you don't really need this book to help you. I doubt I'll make any projects from this book.Like I said, try Makowicki or Neufeld, they have cooler projects, better step-by-step, and nicer drawings. Plus, the toys look way cooler.

Great book to start in toy woodworking
Going to carnivals I would always see booths that were selling wooden toys. I always wanted to build my own. This book was definitely worth it. Its full of different things to build with a wide range of skill. From very simple to more advanced, allowing you to continue to progress as you learn more. the diagrams and instruction are clear easy to follow. Each project comes with a materials list labeling what part and where it goes. Most important the toys are cool. Planes, cranes, tractors, trucks and, trains the detail on the more advanced toys is incredible, I can't wait to build one of them.

Good Resource
This book offers some fresh ideas on toy designs. It seems to be written for the beginning woodworker as there is a lot of unnecessary detail for anyone with experience. The author was a Navy guy so he gets extra points for that.

Not for the beginner
Whilst I have made several of the toys in the book, I will say if you live outside the US you may struggle, as its not metric and every measurement has to be converted if your not familiar with imperial. Some of the projects can be challenging and not ideal if your a beginner, also some of the projects are more complicated than they need be plenty of similar projects on Pinterest that are easier to make.Overall not a bad book but as I say not for the beginner and you will need a lot of tools for some of the more complicated projects

Very good detailed projects
I made some of the toys in the book for our grandson; they were quickly broken... so I have deleted the fragile details( head lights, mirrors etc). It would have been better to have actual size drawings rather then transfer dimensions to graph paper . However , if you want to build family heirlooms that are for display more than function, the book is very good.
