Coghlan's Pack Grill – Lightweight

Have not used it yet, but it sure beats holding anything over a fire (except marsh mellows) I think anyone could use this, think I will add a couple layers of high temp paint to it before 1st use, should help to prevent rust and make it useable for years to come. It is sturdy and well made, be careful of sharp edges on the screen. I recommend this.

I bought this to take on picnics and camping and it is perfect. The grill is sturdy and simple and the size was extremely convenient to take around but enough grill space to cook.

Has a paint smell. I'm not sure if it's safe to cook food directly on it. It says ideal for cast iron cooking, but it would make more sense if you could cook food directly on the grate like a grill

So far so good, this has been handy when we've camped where there is only a rock ring for campfires. I chose this one because of the larger surface size but occassionally that is a problem if the fire ring isn't large enough to accomodate it's size. We have been able to rest it on the rock surround instead but that isn't ideal. I like it and am happy to have it in my camping arsinal.

Come very oily, you may want to wipe it down with Goo Gone when it arrives so it doesn't mess up your stuff. It says not to grill directly on it, so make sure the pots you use are aluminum or small and lightweight or just use one cast iron piece of cookware at a time. It sags slightly with a cast iron pot and cast iron Dutch oven, but it does not sag with aluminum cookware. Good for primitive campsite areas with no fire rings or for when you need to increase the cooking area over a fire.

Bought for wilderness camping trip later on so haven't used it as yet. But is a good size and seems really sturdy.

Great produced did what it need to do no damage after first use held up well for 3 days cooking at camp just wish it was a little more thinker in quality then this grill would last a lifetime

Wie ich es bereits bei dieser super Outdoor Firma gedacht hatte ist die Qualität für diesen Preis überragend! 1x bereits über einer Feuerstelle im Wald getestet, natürlich mit Alu-Schalen. Das gesamte Fleisch & Gemüse wurde schnell und lecker fertig, der Grill zeigte keinerlei Abnutzungserscheinungen. Kurz mit einer weichen Bürste gereinigt und ab in die gepolsterte WEBER-Tasche (die viel teurer war als der eigentliche Grill 😂). Klare Empfehlung…

nice and sturdy, good quality

This thing is great, can sustain even strong fires and cools down really fast. It cooks really great! It's a little heavy so it wouldn't work for any camping trips where you have to walk more than 10 min. The legs fold nicely when not use but they will open up if not attached so carrying this by your side will be a little awkward. You could always put in a plastic bag or a very large duffle bag along with other things or attach it to your backpack if you can. Taking off a start because it started rusting a little after only one use.
