Toppled over this book unexpectedly, enjoyed reading; excellent narration,unintertupted flow of ideas, straightforward presentation of subject, anecdots of those those who matters, nonprejudiced observations......you would love reading it. Literally, the book was read in one sitting but for attending urgent domestic affairs in between. Reader should remember, it is autobiography if a ruler who lived in a royal setying, the growth of tribal leader to the ruler of a world class city state is narrated in few pages, as story of few generations.

I see the founder member of country, he had experienced before life of independence. He tried hard to get independence. He got that. He ruled, he cared his people. He developed nation like own business. He treat country man like own people. Great personality. Great human being. A true horse.

It motivates the readers to work sincerely towards their goal. Various heads of states must read this book and learn to serve their people not the system

This book is an absolute must read for all those who love Dubai and its phenomenal growth over the last 60-70 years! Its the story of the men and especially one man who built Dubai to what it is from almost nothing within one life time! Its absolutely a story of grit, passion, commitment and vision! You simply enjoy the journey of making of UAE , author unfolds the process of rise of Dubai from its desert dwelling nomad population to one of most sought after destination in middle east. If you want to know the thought process and purpose behind this transition; this one is a good read. What it lacks is some ststistical inputs and in depth explanation on some topics.

A great book puts a light on the ruler of dubai and history and culture of dubai (also UAE). It also puts some knowledge on middle east cultures if u are an expat as i am, as we move through the authors life. As a guy who recently start working in Dubai, this book helps to know how this country works and how it become as it is today. Highly recommended for normal people like me as well as for the rulers and leaders of the world.
