This brush works great on both my short- and long-haired cats. It removes a lot of loose fur without pulling, and my cats actually enjoy it. Easy to hold, simple to clean, and even works on my small dog. Definitely worth it if you're dealing with shedding.

The brush itself is very nice, and the hair remover works great, but it was not a good fit for my cat. My cat has medium length hair that is very silky, and when I'd brush him with it, it didn't really remove any hair. I think that the tines are too far apart for it to be effective for my cat. I do think it would be great for a dog, however, and I gave it to a neighbor who has a King Charles Spaniel, and I expect that it will work well for him. I wound up purchasing a slicker type cat brush that also had the hair removal feature and it works much better for my cat. I gave it 4 stars because it was nicely made, but just didn't work for the type of hair my cat has. It may work wonderfully for someone else.
