My Personal Experiences With Koss Headphones . . . Bravo ! ! !
I just ordered these ear buds. I'm writing a review because of the past experiences I have had with KOSS Headphones. From what I have read in this area I'm VERY impressed, VERY. I would like to add my experiences with Koss's products.I added this following paragraph on 7/24/2014. . . . . . . . . . . . .............I have since received the ear buds. I have read some of the customer comments. yes they can be a bit of a problem to get the ear buds to stay in the ear. You have to wiggle the ear buds around in the ear till you find what I would call THAT SWEET SPOT were they sit just right in the ear. Take your time you'll find that spot.As far as what the ear buds sound like. I will compare those little ear buds to the Koss full size earphones. Wow what a bass response and what a high end response. Those ear buds ROCK! There isn't one bit of distortion whether I'm listening to my music at low volume all the way up to the MAX Volume of my MP3 Player.I'm sorry I didn't buy them much sooner. I'm a 50's-60's 70's rocker at heart. But I also listen to Classical and some Opera. Those ear buds bring out sounds I have ben missing with the other ear buds I have owned. I'm going to look for my Walkman. Yes I still have a Walkman. I'm also going to look for my Discman. WHY do I want to find them? I want to see if they still work. I also want to plug in my Koss Ear Buds into my Walkman and Discman I'd like to hear what Jethro Tull, Led Zep, Deep Purple and my 50's and 60's music sounds like also Maddam Butterfly and Aidia when I listen with my Koss ear buds. I'll bet I will not change my mind about them at all.The one 60's song that sounds great when I listen to it on my MP3 player isIna-Gadda-Da-Vida aka In The Garden of Eden. I have the CD I hope I can find my Discman soon so I can listen. <VBG>____--------------------------------------------------------------------------My first set of Koss Headphones was bought when I was pretty young. I believe I was preteen. By the way I'm 56 years old. I wore out those headphones to beyond repair. They feel apart. I was a kid. LOLMy next set of Koss Headphones was when I was a DJ. I bought the same set I had when I was younger. They served me very well. In fact I believe I still have them. They're the old BIG over the ear headphones. They still work the same way they did from when I bought them. The next two sets of Koss headphones were the Porta-Pro headphones. I bought two sets of headphones. One for me one for my wife. So we could listen to our Walkmans on the way to work while we rode the NYC subway. I'm dating myself - Walkmans. LOL It did not stop there. Whenever I wanted a set of headphones I looked for only ONE Name - "KOSS"...If I remember right if the Headphones break Koss will repair them or replace them free of charge. From my first Headphones I liked the companies guarantee or warrantee. I have never had to return any of the headphones I have ever bought to Koss for repair or replacement.I have enjoyed the music I have heard while wearing my Koss Headphones. From when I was a young kid to this day. The sound that comes out of Koss headphones has always had a great sound from the low bass to the treble high's. I believe Koss Headphone to be the best sounding headphones on the market. How can you go wrong when you bought Koss! The Earbuds that came with my MP3 player have stopped working. I decided to replace them with Koss Earbuds. I am very confident the Koss Earbuds I just purchased are just as good as the rest of the Koss products I have bought over the years.Bravo Koss!Mike

Much better than the price suggests
I bought these headphones toward the end of January 2010 and I would say that I am impressed. The are a very good value for the price. In my opinion they are much better than than the other 'budget' priced headphones out there. I paid about 13 bucks, maybe 10...(cant remember and dont wanna check). I received black ones with a straight plug not the angled type shown in the Amazon picture.Let me put this out there, I use these mainly for listening to audiobooks. I do not use these for music very often, but when I have, they have sounded very good. Not too much bass as others have said. I really do think that these are good for almost all stuff. I have listened to instrumental (digital variety), to real classical, to Rob Zombie and the RHCP's. I think that it all sounds pretty good. I think that they hit all the ranges in a complete blend, there is not one sound that sticks out more than the other. This could just be my ears though as others have said "too much bass."They have a relatively large body when compared with other newer in ear headphones but are not too heavy. The foam tips are not a standard design that can be replaced with normal silicon tips the way Skullcandys or JBuds or lots of others can. This is about the only negative thing I can find about these headphones. I got used to the silicon from my cheapo skullcandys. I like the foam but since it is not a standard size you either will have to replace the tips by purchasing more or just buying new headphones when they get destroyed beyond use. The tips may last a while but I feel like they are gonna get 'bad' after a few months of use (I am at about 1 month, but I use them 3-5 days a week). I also bought another set of headphones at the same time and these are my choice for everyday use. The others have been relegated to back up duty in case these unexpectedly break or I leave them at home on accident.Since I made the overt comparison, the other came in an electric blue color w/ a free case. They were priced similarly so I think it is fair to compare them. Lets just say the others are not bad but they are a spare set for a reason. Also since I mentioned Skullcandy as well, these Koss The Plug sound better than the 3 Ink'd pairs and probably better than the Titans (older model Titans w/ no inline Vol control...it has been about a year since they broke, but in turn the Titans sounded much much better than the first pair of Ink'd I had and moderately better than the second set). The 3'rd set of Ink'd were purchased for use while these Koss were shipped otherwise I would not have bought them again.Overall I would give these a 4.5 outta 5. But a 5 for the Amazon review since no halves. I think that the wire which is thin (surprisingly little cord noise or maybe it is just easier to tune out than the 'backups') will most likely break at some point. Also the idea of replacement tips detracts a little, but for the price in my opinion these are by far better than the $25-60ish retail price for the Skullcandys I have tried and the $50 MSRP of the spare electric blue set sold on Amazon. Also I did not just opt for these because they were cheap, people mentioned that they were some of the best sub 100 headphones you could get. And I was looking in the 50-100 range but just didnt feel the value was good enough to justify the purchase price. If I am gonna have crazy cord noise and broken wires and faulty speakers why not 'risk it' with these.
