DDLJ - love story of all times
Love the book, lots of things I didn't know about the movie. I wish Anupama wrote more about making the movie like what was going on sets and all funny stuff that happens. Also I regretted I bought a small book - small font makes it really hard to translate.

A Review from a Big Fan.
Reading the other review, I said i would purchase this book, so i could learn what was being said about this book in college discussions. this book provided a great look into the history and making of the film, as well as posing several great theories and meanings that the movie stands for or evokes. The book has color pages, great quality, and at less than a 100 easily read pages, is a 4 hour read, coming from someone who doesn't read at all, and is a must have for a fan of any of the stars, a bollywood fan, or a DDLJ fan

Its nice. Interesting information about the making of a film that has acquired a cult like status amongst fans, Thus reading about it was nice. Not a bad buy at all.

Recommended for those who seek a greater understanding of DDLJ
If you enjoyed the movie and are interested in the development and impact it had on Indian and Western cultures, it is a good read. I found myself reading the book, and going back and re-watching scenes to pick up on things I missed in the initial watch.

Good overview of DDLJ
I love DDLJ and was so excited to find out that this book was available on Amazon. I love the author as a critic and as an interviewer, so it was nice being able to get background into the makig of DDLJ.

Fantastic book. It really told all about the movie; how it came to be and all the inside stuff that went on. Can't say enough good things about it. Highly recommend.

This movie deserved better.
I bought this, expecting to find out a ton of information on the movie and the people involved in making it. There was some of that, but not nearly the detail which I thought it would be.The structure of the book was a bit confusing. It seemed to jump around a lot, starting a thought, jumping to something else, and then coming back to finish the thought later. The information wasn't presented in a clear or intuitive manner, but seemed thrown together haphazardly. There is some good information in here, if you're willing to slog through the book. Unfortunately, most of it can be found online at IMDB and Wikipedia for free. When I buy a book like this, I expect to learn a lot of stuff. I didn't.
