Vanished: The edge-of-your-seat thriller from author of Rich

Tim Weaver is one of the authors I "discovered" in the last few years. Being an ardent fan of British crime literature, I spend a lot of my free time looking for new writers to follow. This fantastic series featuring David Raker, the private investigator specializing in missing person cases quickly jumped on top of my list of desirable books. These are complex, multi-layered stories that always dig little deeper than your average PI novel. People go missing for many reasons, willingly or unwillingly and leave a trail of pain and destruction behind them. David Raker is compelled for his own reasons to look obsessively for answers. His clients might not always like the results of his investigations, but nevertheless he gives them a chance to move beyond the tragedy. Will they be able to do so, it's up to them.

Another brilliant novel in the David Raker Missing Persons series. Full of twists that keep you guessing right till the end and have enjoyed a number of them so far. I discovered the series with a later novel, which didn't affect my enjoyment of it (Weaver fills in any important gaps), but with this one, I would advise reading the previous novel 'The Dead Tracks' as it will help you understand Raker's relationships with other characters who recur in this book. Can't recommend these highly enough if you enjoy the genre.
