Fun to assemble and they worked so so well
My tomato plants had a hard year between squirrels digging them around them and other incidents they seem to work they were interesting to assemble and even more interesting to disassemble and put away for the winter

Great concept, terrible for at least some applications
I saw these and thought that it was a great idea... adjustable!Unfortunately, these cages just did not live up to the product description.I bought 4. I used all 4 in a raised bed with 4 tomato plants (determinate, unknown variety).Without exception, as the tomatoes (the fruits) started to grow, the plants began to lean and eventually the cages completely collapsed. I had to put up a cable to keep them off the ground and get them through the remainder of the season.Yesterday we removed those plants and needed to spend some time looking for clips that had popped off during the leaning tower episode. Two of the four cages were significantly damaged and will require some rework to be useable again.Perhaps they will work well for a smaller variety of tomato or anything else that is smaller. They definitely are not a replacement for your standard tomato cage when it comes to sturdiness and durability.I should mention that perhaps the cages collapsed because it was a new bed with fresh soil and there's nothing to keep these stakes from sinking further into the ground when pressed down... perhaps that's why this happened. I did, however, have 20 other plants in cages that were also in fresh soil where the plants/cages did NOT collapse. If you've used these and good results... great! For myself, I consider this to have been a failed experiment.I did not take photos of that bed before we took it apart, unfortunately.Putting the poles together... easy.Clipping the hoops to the poles... easy.Keeping the whole thing stable and together as you place it in the garden... not so easy.Sturdiness... well based on my experience... terrible.Overall... terrible... "You had one job Carl!"

Only Use for Determinate Varieties
I bought these tomato cages for all of my tomato plants, which was a mistake. They were perfect for my Roma tomatoes, which are a determinant variety (these types of tomatoes are more bush like and only grow to a certain size). However, I also used them for my indeterminate tomatoes like cherry and heirlooms, which do not grow like bushes and instead continue to grow into (in my case) very tall branches. These types of tomatoes were too unruly for these cages, and quickly outgrew them. Once they did outgrow them, it was very difficult to remove the plants from the cages since they’re surrounded by the rings, so I had to carefully hold all of the branches up while shimmying the rings over them.To be fair, I didn’t know about the types of tomato plants until after it was too late and my tomatoes outgrew these cages, so it may say in the description to use them for determinate types and I didn’t pay attention to that part. If not, here is your warning to not use these for any types of tomatoes that will keep growing, because they’re way too small for those and it’s very difficult to free your tomato plants from these cages once they’ve started to grow in their confines.I did end up using these cages for some of my pepper plants, they were especially useful for my shishito peppers. But if you’re trying to grow cherry tomatoes or heirlooms, I would recommend spending more money on way larger and sturdier tomato cages.

They work but...
These are ok for the cost. They don't snap together; the legs of the top just slide into plastic cuffs set on top of the bottom legs, so it's really easy to accidentally pull the top and bottom apart by mistake. And the plastic cuffs that hold the top and bottom legs together aren't very sturdy. If the plants are lighter but need some support, these work fine. My cucumber plant did well with one of these. However, if you use them with tomatoes and neglect to keep an eye on them and train/prune the buggers back enough, they WILL pull these things apart as they grow and fall over; potentially snapping the plastic cuffs along the way. Especially if the roots aren't deep enough.Getting these set up is a little, frustrating... because there are so many moveable parts. They like to shift and rotate while you're putting them up. Highly advise putting them over the plant BEFORE it gets tall enough to need these and then training the plants up through them as they grow. Otherwise, expect a headache and some slightly mangled plants.

Just do old-school metal cages!
These are a bad trifecta, y’all: cheaply made, a hassle to assemble and unattractive up close. They’ve also got a million little parts that have to be kept away from dogs and small children during assembly. Skip this one!

Difficult To Put Together
It’s definitely adjustable as advertised. But it’s not easy to put together. I tried to tape the rods in place on the ring, which did not work out. I ended up using twist ties, which sort of worked. I’ve only put one together, but I don’t plan on using the other two because it was just so difficulty to put together. The knob I’m pointing to in the second picture, are supposed to be able to tighten to keep the rod in place on the ring. They do not tighten well enough to keep their rods in place. I tied them as best I could, and the ring was still sliding around. That’s why I had to use the twist ties.I personally would not re-purchase this or recommend it.

Really cheap and flimsy
Buy a metal tomato cage for 1/3 the cost, these are cheap, flimsy, difficult to put together and stay - had to tape every joint and they still fell apart.
