Watched it twice already very good film and a good price

After watching a couple of trailers for this I was very entertained and would recommend it as a good watch.

Action movie based on real life for once and brought the reality of oil rigs and the dangers very good watch 10/10

Great film, lots or action. Intense, worth a watch

Best movie but sorry said I didn't buy

I know a lot about this film based on the events that took place. I even built the rig on second life ocean land I rented. Took me 4 months to build. But this BLUERAY edition was dissapointing, the writing describing the BOP and other features was nearly all in German text, despite Warning (SOME SPOILERS). selecting the English version to play the film. Fortunately after half way through most of the screen descriptive texts dissapeared, but still annoying. It's an amazing realistic and shocking film, that is even more amazing when you learn the rig was constructed on a huge car park. Mark Whalburg did a great job in helping bring this to life. His on screen partner Kate Hudson is one of my favourite actresses, kudos must go to the production team and FX team for what looks like it should. A towering inferno of gas, rocks, mud, and explosions. Mr Jimmy played by Kurt Russell was never happy with BPs assessment that the rig was safe, I still maintain he should have not let Jason let the BP guys bully him into starting the operation, when clearly the drill pipe pressure was showing 1200psi when it should be zero, like the kill line test. These rigs are incedibly complex, including below the water to the 400ton bop, and other supposed fail safe hydraulic equipment. It's also one of the most dangerous places to work, which is why crews are paid so highly.In closing most of the cause of the disaster was due to a bad well cement job, as was confirmed in real life. This film just shows how bad things can get when you take any risks with such a complex structure like a drilling rig. A must watch film based on true events

Awesome film..1 of my top.10 favourites..

This simply a must watch Film. Even the soundtrack has a strange malicious feel to it. Obviously the Ceeement job was not properly maintained, as was other systems on the rig. Some stunning scenery , from the Bristows helicopter base, to the deep Horizon itself. Whalberg gives a gritty performance as does Kurt Russel as Mr Jimmy. Loved watching the USCG jump into action. This is one of the most efficient, professional rescue services in the world, was a treat to see how it was all handled by USCG operators who knew exactly what procedures & resources to plan.Gina Rodriguez , is a spitting image of Avatar Star Michelle Rodriguez, But Im told the two aren't related. hard work to film, mud and special effect flames and gas vapour deserves merit.
