Rainbow Crocheted Afghans: A Block-by-Block Guide to Creating Colorful Blankets and Throws Paperback – November 8, 2016

Great crochet book - exactly what I wanted to create new gifts I don't want to give away! The blocks are simple and written out as well as charted. I prefer charts. The colors and block placement are inspiring. I don't need or want a book with step by step instructions to create a product that looks like any author's illustration, and this fits the bill. I don't know how this would be for crocheters who want to reproduce what they see illustrated in a book. There's not a lot of different block construction - more useful for color and placement ideas.

This book is informative, colorful and gives the crocheter the tools to make these beautiful afghans! The motifs can also be used to create your own! Totally love the examples, the color schemes and also examples of other colors! There are also yarns that you can use which is helpful! A beautiful, feast for the eyes and will definitely be a great addition to a crafters library! Congrats Amanda on your first published book! Hope to see one on shawls/scarfs and more soon!

While the information in this book is very good and the projects are beautiful buyer beware this is the EXACT SAME BOOK as Rainbow Crochetd Blankets. Very annoyed that I bought both books. Why sell the EXACT SAME BOOK under a different cover and title!?!

This book is fantastic....as is all of Amanda's work. Amanda's colour sense is brilliant, as well as infectious. As a result, her work focuses on the use of colour rather than lots of complicated stitches and techniques...this book is no exception. Each pattern contains no more than 3 motifs, so even a beginner can start with a blanket containing a single motif. In addition each pattern gives three potential colourways for ideas; the possibilities are endless.

These Afghan are not only colorful but they are UNIQUE. I rarely buy crochet books or magazines because most of the patterns are the same olkd granny squares or double crochet or wave pattern. Not this book! These Afghan remind me of patchwork quilts, colorful and clever and fun. And each one is DIFFERENT.

The patterns in this book are incredible. Can't wait to finish my current project to start one from this beautiful book.

I struggle with color combinations and am frequently frustrated with my choices.The author not only gives you the color schemes for each project, she also guidesyou on how to combine the colors. For some reason, her way of explaining how tocombine colors works with me! I love this book and plan to purchase her other one.
