A Favorite
We had the good fortune to borrow this book from the library when my 9-year-old was a toddler, and it was so cute I never forgot about it. Now, 8 years later, I’ve finally purchased it for our new baby. It’s fun to read, and all my kids like it.

Great book for toddlers!
We got this out of the library months ago and my son (2) loved it! He was very sad when we had to take it back, and was overjoyed to find it in his box of books under the Christmas tree! It's a repetitive book of silly sounds. The pictures are bright and captivating, with plenty of detail. The verse has a good rhythm, and it doesn't get too boring on multiple reads in a row. A definite win for young children!

this is a very cute beginning book, which a friend recommended to me for my great grand-daughter. I recommend it also.

Great book
I first checked this out at the library, thinking it looked a little dumb but had bright colors. I keep learning that I am not a good judge of these things. I had to buy it so she could keep reading it every day! It has awesome rhythm and sounds that she really pays attention to. Her favorite!

Now my favorite!!
The repetition and simple story make this my favorite child's book! Even a two year old can "read" most of the story with the help of the adorable pictures!

Our grandson loves quirky words and has memorized this book even though he is only 2 1/2. He giggles and gets so much pleasure out of the language! A must buy!!

Expected a new book, it was used
I don’t recall seeing when it was advertised that this was a used book. The spine is frayed and the pages are dirty and have scratch marks on them. Don’t feel like I can give this as a gift.

CUTE WORK BY JULIA DONALDSON
Such a cute book, full of lovely sound-words!!! Never seen a cuter book ever, there's just words, which make up a little story. My 3 yr old twins know all the words by heart. Thanks to Julia Donaldson! :-)

Best book ever
Both my kids ADORE this book; it is fun, simple and they love the onomatopoeic sounds. Highly recommend it to anyone with kids under 3.

My two-year old son loves it, he can even read it himself now (by memory of course). We like it too.

Full of charm! Great story for your own toddlers!
We had this charming Julia Donaldson/Nick Sharratt collaboration on paperback, but our 20 month old loves it so much he would insist on walking around carrying it. It was starting to look a little dog-eared, so I was delighted to find the board version. The text is repetitive, with a little addition on each page, and then you get a little surprise every now and then. The illustration is so lovely it really catches his attention. He particularly loves the train page, and at the end says "Bye Bye" with me.Now we have the board book too his 4 year old brother sits there with him reading to him (mostly through memory as he's not quite there yet with the reading!). It's the most lovely thing to watch. I have this book to thank for such moments. :-)
