Comfortable, improvement from V1 with some differences
TL;DR: Great controller, super comfy for someone with big hands. Some very minor annoyances, but a big improvement from the V1 that takes a bit to get used to. - Controller is fantastic out of the box. Has all the features the V1 did except the media control at the bottom of the controller. Some major gripes I have coming from the V1 to this controller; 1. Lack of RGB control & software compatibility. The V1 didn't have either, but it would have been nice to see it implemented into the newer model. This means the colors around the controller are stuck on changing rainbow colors, and cannot be turned off or set to a single static color. 2. Button placement... As someone who uses both the menu buttons adjacent the home button quite often, the left menu button is positioned directly in front of the left joystick making it a massive pain to reach your thumb over all the time. I genuinely can't see any reason it couldn't remain in its original spot similar to the V1, but all the other buttons are perfectly fine. 3. The port for the wire has a sizeable gap beneath it, giving the USB-C a bit too much leeway and thus being fairly loose. Have yet to encounter any actual issues with it (hasn't come unplugged, etc.) All round great controller, but if you're coming from the V1 expecting 'new and improved', it's more of a 'different but better' kind of experience. The mech switches for the AXBY buttons have squish now, which took a ton of getting used to compared to the clicky V1 switches. After using both for some time, though, I can say I do actually prefer the V2 squishy switches. As I don't use the additional buttons at all I can't speak to their performance or placement much, though I did think the bottom buttons were a bit hard to reach.

Greatest Controller of All Time
This is the best feeling, most ergonomic controller of all time. The overall handling is reminiscent of an Xbox 360 controller, which felt really good. The handles have a rubber coating which feels great. I like the overall size and am partial to bigger controllers. The thumbsticks have a nice comfortable rubber coating that isn’t too sticky or too hard. The D Pad is large and has a really nice click when pressed. Although it’s a hard plastic and it’s concave at the same time so it doesn’t feel good to use the middle part of your thumb for the left and down side of the D Pad. You have to get used to using the tip of your thumb for everything. If Razer would’ve coated the D Pad in rubber this wouldn’t have been an issue. The lightning is really nice and bounces off your hands creating a nice glow. The controller is light because there’s no battery so it’s easy to hold. The back paddles are great because you can lay the controller on your leg and they won’t be pressed. You don’t have to treat this thing like an egg, always worrying where you’re going to set this down so the paddles don’t get pressed, like another big name controller. The USB-C port is really wobbly, however. You need to find a light USB-C cable that carries both data and power. Most light cables only carry power. The cable it comes with is a little heavy but it has a large head at the USB-C tip so it won’t wobble. Any other cable will wobble like crazy. I’m thinking the cable for the Elite 2 would work best because it’s light and Carrie’s data but I can’t find mine. Right now I’m using the default cable and it’s working fine. I predict this won’t last long though because the USB-C port itself is so wobbly for the actual USB-C part. I’m not returning this though because the controller itself is the most comfortable controller I ever held. There’s always a catch with Razer and that comes with the territory. The vibration is pretty good but nothing crazy like the DualSense. I got this because I’m a bit of a Razer fan and to me the positives outweigh the negatives. Buying this controller is like getting married to a celebrity. You know it won’t last long, but the time together will be amazing.

Better than any other controller I’ve ever tried- for 2 months
Quite honestly, this controller is better than any of my xbox elite controllers. I don’t use the extra buttons at all. But the stick sensitivity is perfect right out of the box- which is good because I can’t figure out how to customize sensitivity settings for xbox one s. Only beefs I have at all is that it’s exclusively wired. Even so, without any legit aim customization, it’s still the best fps controller I’ve ever owned by a wide mile. Idk why. Perhaps the ergonomics? But it feels great and works far better than expected. Totally worth being stuck with wired connection. And I’ve spent thousands of dollars on controllers over the years, fyi. NEVER buy the generic 75$ ones- they break down almost instantly. The elite ones work and are sturdy for a month or so. But even after full refurbishment, they don’t perform as well as this one does. STG -update two months post purchase- stick drift- the bane of any gamer’s gaming life- so must return rrr - Updated 1/9/24- customer service was amazing and attentive at replacing my faulty original controller. The new one I received, literally within a week of submitting my claim (though a process but more than acceptable) has never faltered at any point- although it’s been dropped a few times. My definite go to. Xbox elites remain in their cases. This has been a very steady and reliable controller I’ve ever owned. I’m Razer for life. Why I Must update my review to 5 stars. Excellent hardware. Superb customer service. I can’t possibly say enough good things about the company at this point. Trust. You will not regret it.

Nearly perfect if not for the seemingly intentional flaws. Also, no macros.
This controller is probably one of the best I've had over the years, but they missed an opportunity to make it one of the best ones in the market overall. Sticks are not hall-effect joysticks so you'll get drift eventually. The software helps, but even now it detects a very minuscule deviation albeit at below the .0 range, at the lowest deadzone setting already. For comparison, I have an 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth with hall-effect sticks and those report zero deviation even below the .0 range. The extra buttons feel great and have good location. The back pedal-buttons need some getting used to, but they're not that bad and my fingers stop right on top of them. I've had more trouble with accidental presses on other styles of back buttons. 8-way D-pad may be a hit or miss for the user, but I like it enough despite hating 8-way d-pads due to past experiences with them. This is the best one I've tried so far. Trigger-stops are smooth, and I must say they feel good. Other controllers I've tried felt like they would break eventually, because the stopper mechanism feels more like something is just blocking the trigger part-way, leading to a "crunch". These on the other hand, feel like the "bottom" of the triggers just become shallower with nothing blocking the trigger on the way. I don't know how they did that, but this is way better. You have no manual way to map the extra buttons and have to go through the software, even if just to switch profiles. This is one of this controller's cons. Razer advertises this as a tournament-ready controller so the software only allows you to assign single, specific, buttons onto the extra buttons. IMO this is an unfortunate mistake. If tournaments wanted to prevent players from cheating with macros, they should just do proper pre-fight checking of equipment and software. Pretty sure they already do that too, so there's really no reason for this excuse. All these extra buttons would have been great if you could save macros on the buttons and profiles per game. Would be great if it had on-board memory and manual assignment too. Many players would probably benefit from this. They didn't do this for this controller so it's lost some points on that regard. Last but not the least, the plastic kind of feels cheap. It's the same Razer-brand plastic that they use on their mice, and even has some rubbery grip-like portions, but I feel like the Gameboy-ish type of plastic used on 8bitdo's controllers are better to the touch. Razer plastic likes to absorb skin oil over time. Overall, a great product but still with flaws. They could've gone with the full mile of stuff I mentioned above for this price, but these companies seem to design products with intentional flaws so as not to steal the market share of other products within their line with a "perfect" product that has all the bells and whistles and nothing to complain about (except the price). I would probably not find a controller that can replace this one, with all the same features, but from a different brand for a long time. Durability is going to be a test of time matter so I won't speak about it.

Very amazing and impressive product
Overall this controller is very good in all categories however, one thing I’ve experienced is that people with smaller hands might not like the controller all too well, as the thumb sticks are slightly spread out and the back paddles are a little difficult to reach, but for me (with fairly normal to large hands) the ergonomics of this controller are really nice and Comfortable. Out of all the features, my favorite and most utilized feature is the trigger stops, these things allow me to shoot faster and and be more accurate with trigger inputs Another thing I like is the 10 foot braided USB-C cable that is included Personally I believe that this controller is an absolute steal, as the elite series 2 and scuff controllers are $200+. This controller has almost all the features the expensive elite controllers provides, while being somewhat affordable, the only downside is that this controller is not wireless, even though you are able to disconnect the USB-C cable and store the controller you cannot actually use the controller without it.

Stick drift too soon, disconnects, poor features, poor value for the price.
Latest Experience: I went ahead and got another simply because it's hard to find controllers for larger hands... and it's no better. It's been two months and the controller already has some stick drift. It also randomly loses connection with the cable, which means it stops working because it's not wireless-capable, and I have to disconnect and reconnect it. After this, I think I'm pretty much done with Razer products. Edit: I've had this for a year and a half; it's developed BAD stick drift, and I don't even play challenging games! It's too much money for a controller that does this, isn't wireless, doesn't have programmable/macro buttons. I'm already shopping for something else from another brand. Old review: I got this controller because it is much bigger than a normal XBox-style controller... which, word to the wise, it is, and it takes some adjustment and a bit of hand cramps to adjust to it... but, while I generally like it, I had to go through hoops with Razer to get the Razer Controller App, because Windows Store wasn't working and they don't have a download source... for their product... on their website. Which, I mean... why? But after they put me through a LOT of hoops for their FREE software, they sent it to me via email. Also, the Start and Select buttons are VERY awkwardly placed. Honestly, I took off the two stars JUST for this reason, because it causes problems. The Start button (right side) is not too hard to reach, but the Select button requires going OVER the left stick, instead of between the left stick and the crosspad. If I could return this for a similarly-large controller just like it but with these buttons where sane people would put them, I'd do it in an instant. As it is, I'm just stuck nudging the left stick anytime I'm trying to reach Select.

6 Mappable "M" Buttons only work for Xbox button inputs. Does not allow keybindings for use on PC
First I want to say that this controller feels amazing. The buttons are somewhat firm and clicky. It is a bit larger than a core wireless xbox controller. If you have small hands this Razer controller may feel somewhat awkward however the quality is there. Unfortunately I have two major gripes with this controller. 1) The USB C cable that connects into the controller feels like it is not very secure. It can jiggle a bit, and while moving the controller around too much I was able to get the cable to yank out a couple of times. It felt like I had to baby the control somewhat. 2) I bought this controller because of the mappable buttons.. however the software needed to actually map the buttons only allow for xbox button inputs to be mapped. Meaning you could have two or more buttons that will be read as the same button press. Reading the item descriptions, I was under the impression that this controller could have any keybinding done when used with PC. Unfortunately this has been a major complaint with PC users as others were also under the impression that the 6 additional "M" buttons could be keybinded. Apparently Razer hasn't figured this out yet. And in order to actually use these buttons to be mapped to specific keyboard keybindings, you would have to use 3rd party applications such as AntiMicroX or reWASD, and even then you would have to jump through hoops to get the the additional buttons mapped because these M buttons do not show up within the applications. I was avoiding purchasing a Xbox Elite Series 2 controller due to the lack of quality control, but it appears that for my needs, and what the 3rd party applications such as reWASD can do, I seem to have no choice. Call it a skill issue. For this price, Razer should have this controller allow full functionality between console and PC.

Gaming perfected
Been using it as my main controller when I play games on my PC and I use it sometimes with my Series S. It's comfy, the lightning is great and the customization is top notch. Highly recommended.

Certified Refurbished product [BE AWARE!]
What I received is an official refurbished item, not literally a 'New' one as stated on Amazon. Coming with a refurbished item package, not the package you usually see. All components are packed in a sealed plastic bag. Disappointed but fair & make sense at this price, which is a lot cheaper than the 'real-new' product. The price is equivalent to the refurbished outside Amazon, somewhere else, so I accepted. No issue with the product itself, works well and is likely new (no obvious mark on it). It is a good way to buy a cheaper one if you can accept a refurbished product. For me and my use, a cheaper one does better, no matter if it is refurbished.
