3-IN-ONE Multi-Purpose Oil

I have used 3-in-One oil since I was 11 years old, to oil my bike chain. Over the subsequent, five to six decades, it became my all-purpose lubricant, having a small can handy, even in a kitchen drawer. Great stuff. I won't use it on electric motors, neither directly nor on motors with oiling wicks, like sewing machines. For those, I use a purer, finer machine oil. Everything else gets 3-in-One. It works, to some degree, as a penetrating oil to loosen nuts or remove rust. I even wipe some of my steel tools with it to prevent rusting from high humidity in garage and basement. Perhaps the greatest testament is that the oil was formulated in the 1890s, extant in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.An observation, not a complaint, this is the first time I've seen this oil in a plastic container, and the first of this size. My previous came in a small steel can which conveniently attached to a magnetic strip I have over a work bench. I now have an open spot on my magnet for some other iron or steel tool.

The oil was spilling all over the package. But, I used it before and the oil itself is good.

This is great stuff . Been using it since forever . Great for my pocket knife collection . Both as a wipe down to prevent corrosion and for lubing the pivots . You can spend more but for my traditional pocket knives , this stuff is the best .

Do not order this with other items -- with the bottle I received leaked inside the shipping box and could have damaged the other items in the box (clothing) if they had not been in properly sealed plastic bags themselves. As it is I got oil over my hands and had to extract the clothing carefully to avoid damaging them. The box is now not recyclable.The oil itself is great (as always)
