I really enjoyed reading this book. A nice feel good romance.

She chose her colours with the greatest care. She adjusted her petals one by one. She did not wish to go out into the world all rumpled8, like the field poppies.

A young woman, Cassie, betrayed by her boyfriend, receives a letter from a lawyer. She is the solebeneficiiary, of a cottage. But then an unusual clause in the contract keeps her busy every day as she battles to gain her inheritance.

This was well on its way to being a decent read but then the obvious annoyance happens. And as predictable as it was I was really hoping the author wouldn’t go there, but they did.The main character’s pathetic, ridiculous, weak, idiotic behaviour infuriated me so much that I started skipping paragraphs until at around 75% I gave up. I actually rolled my eyes! I will not be finishing this book. I can guess where it is going.Such a shame but I personally have no interest in reading about characters who act like stupid little five year olds having a tantrum and not standing up for themselves and allowing the obvious to happen. Just infuriating.Some of the romance side of it was quite fun, not enough to save it though!
