Guittard Chocolate Butterscotch Chips, 12 oz

After reading some other reviews, I was wary about this purchase. I've been hunting for butterscotch chips that aren't completely terrible for you and these seem to be the best quality I can find without having to make my own.No issues with this brand or delivery at all!The bag of butterscotch chips arrived sealed in an outer plastic bag & then boxed. The contents were in perfect condition -- none of the morsels were melted together as some other reviewers complained. The best by date is acceptable,all good til next year. I love that they taste great without the nasty dyes or other bad stuff. I am very pleased even though they are expensive compared to lesser quality brands. Thanks so much!

Pricey, but you can't beat that deep, rich, buttery butterscotch flavor.

Bought these for experimental value. Taste is complex, more like white chocolate with a brown sugar finish than the yellow butterscotch we all grew up with. We ended up keeping these for afternoon cheese plates and small late night snacks rather than baking.

I order these whenever I make a butterscotch pudding from scratch. So much better than artificial butterscotch (all I can find in local grocery stores)

I've been trying various butterscotch chips for my baking. Each brand has a different flavor profile, and I've tried 3 major brands so far, that are sold nationally here in the US. I'll compare butterscotch chips I tried so far in this review.1. Guittard - The most sophisticated flavor so far. The flavor is butterscotch, but more complex than others I've tried. Not powerful, but complex flavor profile instead. I enjoy these.2. Hershey's - Good all around flavor, in-between Guittard and Nestle. My go-to butterscotch chips, I eat them as candy sometimes. Hard to get, and seem to always be out of stock everywhere in 2023.3. Nestle - These are extremely strong, with a singular flavor profile, but not that good in my opinion. Sometimes a bad batch will taste bitter, though this is rare. They will work though, and are widely available.

Ordered this brand since is a higher quality however it arrived as complete liquid. Everything was melted together and unusable. I will not be ordering this again. Very disappointing.

Paid more than I should have, but wanted as close to pure as I could get and these are it!

Great flavor. Adds a nice creamy bit into my pecan shortbread cookies. Not waxy which many butterscotch bits are. I’ve purchased these multiple times
