You are correct. A nice thing about this book is that each letter has its own section. Some books have X,Y, and Z share a section while this one does not. Also, you are correct in that there is no formatting other than the ruled lines. I use my book to sort and store all of my computer, phone, and online usernames and passwords. Plus I only use pencil which allows me to erase a password when I am required to change it. My book stays nice and tidy with nothing scratched out.

How many blank pages associated with each letter?

It depends on the letter and the seeming popularity of that letter. Any where from 2 to 4. For example A has 4 pages (front and Back), B has 4 pages, O has 3 pages, W has two pages.

Is there a pocket in the back of the book?

Item is sealed. However, banner around item states that book has expandable inner pocket. Thanks for your interest/question!

Is this book refillable?

No. All Moleskine books are bound, which means they are sewn and/or glued at the spine. Some models of notebooks have several pages in the back that are perforated for easy removal however. Whether it has the removable pages, and how many there may be, depends on the book, and it is usually noted in the item description.
