So far it’s been great! We have used it for all three of our kids. Switching it from baseball to softball seems to be pretty easy. It functions like we expected and the speed changes are nice since we have a 6 year old boy and an 11 year old boy. It shoots pretty accurate and the machine itself is stable. We love it so far!

Great machine, just make sure if you buy additional balls, you get the same brand as the machine. I tried purchasing different brand pitching machine balls, but none of them were the right size. Easy to set up and take down. Easy to store.

Bought for our 8 year old grandson into baseball and our 10 year old grand daughter who plays softball. They no try h are enjoying it and learning how to get better at battling.

The media could not be loaded. Not too sure if I got a bad returned machine or what. First supplied baseball sent through it and the wheel started sounding like the bearings were shot. Or a bad motor. It sounds awful. Return started.

Setup is quick and easy. It also came with extra screws in case we lose one later. It works great for batting practice. Not sure the speed of the balls get as fast as they say it will but we were satisfied with the speed at the highest setting. I love how easy it is to switch from baseball to softball. Pitch isn't always 100% accurate but that just makes it better for practice since they aren't always going to be right down the middle in a game. We did find using it for pop flys could be tricky. It shoots great pop flys but we found the balls hard to catch. Most balls bounced out of the glove before we could get a hand on them and we couldn't squeeze our glove around them fast enough. It still allows my daughter to judge distance and accuracy on the pop flys to help in a real game setting. Overall for the price we were happy with it.

The media could not be loaded. So me and my family have the luxury of having a full size batting cage in our back yard. This would be a good idea if you plan on using the machine to take batting practice. If you are using it to develop your catcher, SS, or infield pop ups no problem but these balls travel and they will break glass!!!Honestly, having owned a similar machine, difference being the balls, I may actually prefer this machine over the other. It is more accurate, easier to move around and far less labor intensive to maintain.We used this machine now for about 3-4 weeks. My biggest concern was the quality of "baseball" but I gotta tell you my boys and I knocked the snot out of these and they threw just as good as they did on day one. They are seemingly the same size as regular base balls, not as heavy and look like very large golf balls. I would assume this set up is for accuracy.Accuracy is about 6-10 inches either side of center and can be 12-16 inches high or low of center.On its fastest setting I had little luck making contact but my son after a bit of practice was hitting consistently. As an aside, the lower settings 1-3 these served no purpose for us. The MPH at those settings really too low in my opinion. There are a few small pieces to pay attention to, this caused me pause when opening the box, good news is they provide plenty of extra should these go missing.We never used the softball set up, we just don't play softball but it seems easy enough to switch over if you'd like.Set up is easy, really easy, its lightweight and pointing the unit on the tripod is a breeze.The machine is quiet which is nice, you will have to wait a few seconds between pitches for the machine to build back up in rpm's but you need time to reset anyhow.We couldn't be happier with this machine! Working the way I do I can't be there to set up and break down the heavy machine and anyone in the family can manage this one.In conclusion, if you have a batting cage or a large field by all means hit away, if not this is great for fielding practice as well. You really have to watch these balls into the glove to catch them and that's important to teach!
