More effective than simply placing two tees in the ground on the practice green. After receiving this item within a couple days after placing the order, I took it out on the practice green and I can see how regular use of this training aid can improve one's putting. By placing the ball in between the putter head width gate with an equal distance in front and behind the ball, it forces the user to keep the putter head square immediately before, during and just after impact which facilitates the ball starting out on its intended line just after impact. It also encourages a shorter backstroke to allow the putter head to pass thru the gate without hitting the sides. This facilitates more consistent strikes in the center of the putter face which will result in a truer roll. Now, the the all important part of the equation is to use on a regular basis to reap the benefits.

I use a putting trainer almost every time I go to the putting range. I wanted a more compact trainer, and this fits perfectly. High quality. It does take a bit more time to get it spaced out properly, compared to the mirror trainers.

Great training aid to throw in your bag. Very practical and well made for the cost.

These are designed really well and well built but there’s a big BUT… I didn’t realize they are made of metal. If your using them as a putting aid any time you hit the putter face you risk scratching the putter (mine is black), and if your using for irons to practice chipping or iron shots could leave dents or huge gashes. If the made these out of plastic they would be great.

This is fantastic for getting the ball to meet the middle of the putter consistently
