Professional Mandoline Slicer, Features V-Blade, Slicing, Julienne, and Dicing with Adjustable Thickness

Got this because I wanted something to easily slice vegetables since I am trying to add more healthy foods into my diet. This was exactly what I needed for extremely thin and thick cuts alike. Having the option to change the thickness and the type of cut was a huge plus, especially the option to dice in one swipe. I’ve had friends cut themselves with their mandolin before, but this mandolin has two safeguards so it’s more comfortable and safe to use. Now I have fun slicing away my vegetables and look forward to using this every time I cook! :)

I got this for my wife for Christmas. She got me a table saw and the most ferocious angle grinder wheel you have ever seen. Of the three, the mandoline is easily the most dangerous tool in our house! On Christmas Day I cut through 5 potatoes with ease, diced a couple of onions, and moved on to the celery. Instead of cutting down the celery to fit in the guard like I did all the other vegetables, I took the top off the guard and got to work. Then it got me. This thing took a chunk out of my middle finger so FAST. My hand didn't even slow down when it hit the blade. Moral of the story, I like the mandoline and will continue to use it, only with a bit more respect in the future. Read the manual and use caution because this thing is SUPER SHARP!!!!

It works well,,, having only the to blades is not what I was expecting

Not as safe as I would want.

The bottom part of the cutting plate moves around so much that it's impossible to get a consistent thickness.It also doesn't cut thin enough.

This thing is great. People give it less stars because they cut themselves. That's just not fair. You can't blame a product for your carelessness. That being said, I did cut myself the first day I had it. You do need to be very careful, but you shouldn't mark a product down due to carelessness. They should have put a different color plastic where the blades are, they almost hide.

The construction of the unit is pretty nice and the blades appear to be razor sharp. The instructions for the dicing function are a little vague and I would have liked a bit more of a solid stop between the guard rotations for the dicing functions. I haven't nicked myself yet and don't plan to as this tool could cause some serious damage if not used properly per directions. Cleanup is a snap and storage space is minimal. I hope that the blades stay sharp for many years of good service.
