ROLL OVER AND DIE: I Will Fight for an Ordinary Life with My Love and Cursed Sword! (Light Novel) Vol. 2

Here we are, volume 2 and a level of Grimdark not seen outside of a Warhamster game.Actually, that's not fair. Yes this series is not for the faint-hearted or those interested in hearts, flowers and fluff, but the story and characterisation make all the difference. Out heroine has been to the depths of despair and has come out a better and much more capable person. Yes, bad and downright nasty things keep happening to her but she comes through, if not unscathed then as the sole survivor standing.The plot's not hard to follow, there's plenty of action and bad guys who need (and get) the kicking they deserve. There's also a blossoming touch of yuri which is wonderfully endearing.Looking forward to volume 3 and wherever it takes us.

Well, things certainly took a turn for the unexpected but its certainly keeps one hooked on finding out what happens next, looking forward to seeing vol 3 come out when it does.

Fairly good and fairly interesting

Band 1 hatte mir sehr gut gefallen, mit der Brutalität, den interessanten Monstern und den tollen Hauptcharakteren. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass sie wirklich kämpfen müssen, bis zu einem Punkt, dass ich fast vergaß, dass die Hauptcharaktere natürlich nicht sterben werden. Band 2 schafft es nicht so richtig dies aufrecht zu erhalten.Nachdem in Band 1 bereits ein ehemaliges Party Mitglied von Flum auftauchte, das alles andere als schwach ist, werden es im zweiten Band nur noch mehr. Dadurch geht einiges an Dramatik verloren, denn Sklavenmarkierung oder nicht, wenn Flum mit bekannten Mitgliedern der Heldenparty oder anderen wichtigen Personen unterwegs ist senkt das die offenen Vorurteile ihr gegenüber drastisch. Auch sind diese Personen alle sehr stark, was eventuelle Gefahren senkt und dafür sorgt das Flum weniger allein machen muss. Außerdem sind die Monster zwar immer noch einzigartig, aber sehr viel weniger bedrohlich als im ersten Band.Allein durch das wegfallen dieser Elemente wird die Geschichte für mich sehr viel weniger interessant und ich mache mir etwas sorgen wie es weitergehen wird. Wenn sie weiter in dem Tempo Flums Verbündete erweitern, könnte "Roll over and Die" bald zu einer "08/15 das Böse bekämpfen" Story werden und diese eigentliche Story ist leider nichts Besonderes. Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass es nicht dazu kommt.

Chicas lindas haciendo cosas lindas, buenas batallas, trama interesante, un poco de gore, personajes agradables (y otros que obviamente no deben de serlo) ¿y yuri? ¿Qué más puedo pedir?En este volumen se presentan más personajes y se profundiza en los ya presentados en el anterior volumen, observamos como se van volviendo más cercanas nuestra acaramelada pareja, también descubrimos nuevas cosas y así mismo deja más incógnitas por resolver.Muchas gracias a Kiki-sensei y a Kinta-sensei por su gran trabajo, y perdón por no poder expresar en su totalidad lo grandiosa que es su obra.
