Yeah, I like this mattress...
So, after much research and bouncing between different products, I finally decided on this. I really thought I was going to buy a memory foam mattress, but I recalled that my favorite pillow I've ever had in my life was a latex foam one from many years ago. Ideally, I was looking for a mattress that had both latex and high-density memory foam, but those models were just too high priced for me.I received this mattress and, while it was heavy, I was able to move it around myself and unpack it. Upon slicing the plastic, it instantly started to decompress. Within a very short while the mattress was probably within 7-8 inches thick. I let the mattress sit, untouched, for it's entire 48 hours and it looked as if mine only expanded to about 9 inches. So, I decided to give the mattress a few more days, although, this time I decided to start actually sleeping on it. I would check the thickness daily, and it didn't seem to change. I had contacted LinenSpa about if there was anything special I had to do to aid in expansion and they basically told me no, but it could take longer than the recommended 48 hours depending on certain factors... They also told me not to worry and I should use it without worry until then; if all else fails, I could issue an exchange through amazon. I continued to measure for a few days and realized that's just how mine is going to be... Then I decided to actually lay something flat on the mattress and measure against this flat item to my ruler... Turns out, my mattress just slopes down ever-so-slightly on the edges which makes it appear that it's only 9" on the ends, but in reality, it's scary close to 10" everywhere else. This could just be due to the mattress cover sloping the edges, I'm not sure, but it's really not a big deal at all; it's almost un-noticeable.So, onto other details... The cover that the mattress comes in is quite nice, I was pleasantly surprised by the look/feel of it. It's so smooth I almost didn't want to put a sheet on it... but I did purchase some satin sheets, so I figured I might as well make use of them.As to odor... Well, there really wasn't much of a smell. I have a pretty good nose and the only time I smelled anything was when I face-planted the bed when I first un-packed it... You really have to bury your nose into it to smell anything, and it's by no-means a harmful smell. It's nothing like the smell of some of the memory-foam products. Latex foam really doesn't have much of a smell, so I think the only slight odor you might experience is from either the glue used to connect the two pieces of foam, or from the base/support foam on the bottom. Again, if I had not face-planted the mattress, I probably would not have noticed anything. So, ultimately, I feel as if this has no odor. Sleeping on it daily, I notice absolutely no smells. The bedroom does not smell of chemical or anything....And the most important part... Comfort (this might get a little long). Part of what I was always looking for, was a mattress that had both good cushioning ability and the firmness to give your body support. When I first pushed my hands into this mattress, I was actually surprised by how soft it was. I was expecting it to be firmer, not that I wanted it firmer. Now, when I lay on the mattress, I would say it gives just enough. It's by no means sleeping on a hard-surface and you don't exactly sink into it like it's a big pocket either. It really does a great job at cushioning your body/curves while also supporting it extremely well. I'm a pretty thin guy and sleep either on my side or my back. Sleeping both ways on this bed has been great so far. I've always had sleeping issues my entire life, insomnia, restlessness, you name it, and when I wake up, I feel like a wreck and SUPER tired. So far, after sleeping on this mattress, much of that has changed.I will admit, my body needed to get used to sleeping on a good mattress. For far too long, I've been sleeping on a couch, a pull-out, and before that, a bed that was absolutely terrible... Not terrible because it was old or anything, but because it was just such a piece of junk inner spring mattress. It was actually painful to sleep on and not restful at all, even after adding a 2" memory-foam topper. So far, this LinenSpa mattress has been among the best sleep I've ever had. While I do still wake up throughout the night and whatnot, I can fall right back to sleep. My back isn't exactly used to sleeping on a good mattress yet, but it sure is thanking me. I now wake up and don't feel like a piece of garbage. I actually feel like I got some rest, and my body is functioning more properly. I was starting to think I had something physically wrong with me before-hand due to how how terrible I felt and tired I would wake up every day. It was as if sleep did nothing for me and it was effecting my life in many ways. Now, to be honest, I look forward to going to bed. It's quite nice, really. The only thing I cannot really comment on so far is how well this thing will last. It feels to be made pretty well, but only time will tell. Considering it's only $299 for the full-size mattress, if I get a few years out of it, I'll be happy. So yeah, I like this mattress and definitely recommend it. It has improved my quality of sleep ten-fold. It has a nice blend of comfort and support... basically, just what I was looking for. I would say it's perhaps medium-firm? With the latex foam, you will never feel trapped like with memory-foam as it springs back and responds right away, but it sure does still contour to your body's shape. Also another good mention, is that the mattress does not sleep hot. While it's only spring-time, and summer will be the true test, so far I've got no complaints as to how well the latex foam breathes. Now I just need to get some latex foam pillows again and I'll be set!EDIT: Basically two years later now and I still enjoy this mattress. I no longer wake up during my rest and sleep all throughout. The bed is just as comfortable as it was day one and it shows zero signs of wear. It's very comfortable and it does not sleep hot (like memory foam tends to do). I feel like I made a sound choice, and if you're looking for something that's medium-firm with good support, this might be the bed for you too. Couple it with the LinenSpa Latex Foam pillow and you'll be in business - actually better yet, you'll probably be sound asleep.

Best mattress I've ever had
Update 2/2020: finally got around to replacing this mattress (with a king size version of the same one). This original queen size one is 4-5 years old now and still going strong. It is definitely not nearly as firm as it once was, but still provides great support. Still no sinking or dents... the softness is mostly noticeable around the edges of the bed - it sinks down when you sit on the edge in a way that it didn't when it was brand new, and I've started to be able to feel my husband's/dog's movement at night. I absolutely feel that we got more than enough use out of it - especially for the price -and it is still in great shape to use in our guest room. We have also since ordered the medium memory foam version for our son, which is quite a bit softer than ours but still very comfy.Update 11/2018: after 2 years of sleeping on this mattress, I can say that it is still really great. However, with regular use it has definitely lost some of its 'firmness' over time and become softer. Unlike super soft mattresses, there is no issue with 'sinking' in the middle of the bed or dents where my husband and I each sleep. For the price, I feel like I have totally gotten my money's worth. We will be replacing it when we move in about a year with another version of this same one, and moving this one to our guest room.Original Review: It's been about two months since this bad boy arrived at my doorstep, and I have nothing bad to say at all. Best mattress I have ever slept on (with the Marriott Hotels memory foam beds coming in a very close second). There was no bad odor upon unboxing. The mattress reached the full 10" size about 3 hours after opening it up. It is very firm, and hands down the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. You do not sink into it, like memory foam, but rather float on top of it as it cradles your joints in a very supportive manner. Even if the mattress only lasts us 2 years, it is worth the price and would be worth the replacement cost.People who have been sleeping on a very soft, plush pillow top bed will be in for a major adjustment (expect a few nights of neck stiffness), but it is giving me some of the best sleep of my life, even with the major joint pain I have suffered for years. I can't say it is improving my joint pain, but at least I am sleeping instead of suffering all night. The BEST feature: you cannot feel your sleeping partner moving in the bed at all. My significant other, dog, and cat can all come and go freely throughout the night with absolutely zero movement of the mattress. Like, I can sit in the bed and drink hot coffee while my 4 year old is JUMPING ON THE MATTRESS next to me, and the only risk for spill would be his flailing limbs (not the bouncing of the mattress). This thing does not bounce. The lack of bounciness does not inhibit adult "bouncing activities" either.

Supporting and comfortable. Don't think..just get it and be amazed.
Love this . Had a full latex mattress before and was over $5k.. this just as comfortable at a fraction of the cost. I have a back spine issue that requires surgery and I can say this is the first time in 3yrs I was comfortable.

Sleep like the dead....
Like sleeping on a cloud. It's so comfortable and great for my bad back. Waking with stiff shoulders is a thing of the past. It was the best price for what our needs are, including getting a large bed up a narrow stairway. Highly recommend this product!

Keep in mind it's made in China! Missed it when i ordered
Smells horrible. Bought it about a month ago. Had to leave the country for about 3 weeks so the mattress had plenty of time to breathe. Not very comfortable either
