Too much recycled material.
I finished the book around 2:00am last night and decided to sleep and reflect on it before reviewing. It was merely okay. I've loved this series, and the Masters of the Mountain/Masters of Dark Haven series, for a while now. But there were too many elements and plot devices in this book that appeared in previous books for my liking. It echoed If Only almost point for point. Insecure submissive, in this case Uzuri, gets injured and two of the Masters of the Shadowlands take her home for a few days to keep an eye on her recovery. She decides to have them help her with a serious issue, so she moves in for a while. Something bad happens, and she assumes all of the blame and guilt, breaking off the relationship and running away. Sound familiar to anyone else? Granted, that isn't the entire plot. Phsycotic stalkers seem to exist in larger numbers in Sinclair's world than they do in reality. It seems to be one of her favorite plot devices. In addition to the recycled material, the characters are becoming stale and almost two-dimensional. Uzuri isn't the first of the Shadowlands submissives to have deep personal issues that come from a past lover who turned out to be a crazed stalker. Max isn't the only LEO in the series to have occasional troubles dealing with the stress of his job. Alastair isn't the first medical professional who lets patient situations beyond his control come home with him to bleed all over the people for whom he cares. Sinclair has found comfortable niches with these kinds of characters and situations and doesn't seem to want to try anything different. Also, for being the supposed worst pranksters in the club, Uzuri didn't seem to be as into the pranks as her reputation. Sally was more active and creative in If Only, despite her own deep personal issues. It certainly didn't fit with Uzuri's characterization in previous books.Bottom line? After 11 books and a novella, Cherise Sinclair has become entirely too comfortable with this series, and she's left the door open for more. I will give the next one a try, but if it isn't substantially better than this one, I'll not read further in the series. Overall, Mischief and the Masters was okay, and if you've stuck with the series this far and want to know why Uzuri is the way she is, it might be worth your while. Otherwise, you might not find it to be worth your time.

BDSM lite. Nice but not awesome addition to the series.
Uzuri has been a sub at Shadowlands for several books and has never really connected with anyone. Her backstory has been leading up to Mischief and the Masters. After all this time, she doesn't just get one Dom, she gets two! The Drago cousins.I really like Cherise Sinclair, but for some reason the last two books just have not done it for me. I will still definitely buy and read the series so I'm hoping this is a small bump in the road. Despite Uzuri being a sweetheart and the two Dom's your typical alphas, I just did not feel the connection between the three characters. As usual, the Dom's have been maneuvered/manipulated by Master Z, the sub whisperer, to take on Uzuri and get her out of her shell. Her backstory of evil stalker provides the drama of the book. The two heroes are mega yummy and experienced as Doms, but seemed BDSM-lite which is actually just fine with me. One aspect of the Dom/sub relationship that I have a hard time buying into is when the male Dom's trains the sub because of some fear or miscommunication. The omnipotent/omniscient Dom's usually end up paddling/punishing the sub. It's just too much I am male hence superior for me. Yes, I know there are female Dommes that exert the same dynamic, but, let's face it, they are few and far between and we aren't really reading them as much. At least I am not. We have several scenes like this with Uzuri. One aspect of the book and Sinclair's writing that I enjoyed is that this is a multi-race relationship. Uzuri is black; Alastair is mixed race, and Max is white. They address the race issue within the context of their relationship rather than how other people react to them. Of course, in real life an obvious menage relationship is probably more likely to trigger raised eyebrows that a mixed race couple, but what do I know. Anyway, Sinclair doesn't ignore the elephant in the room, and Uzuri expresses how difficult it can be in being black and being uncertain if people are reacting to her or the color of her skin. The other characters of Shadowland show up. Jessica is still sassy, Master Z is still yumm, and Andrea and Cullen get married. There is a very sweet scene with all the guys of Shadowland and Andrea. NOT THAT KIND OF SCENE, I said sweet. The most interesting person for me was Holt, a Dom and a friend of Uzuri. It looks as if he's up next, and he seems promising since he chose a loser girlfriend this time. All he needs is the love of a sweet girl he can tie up and paddle. Ah, young love. He's another nice guy Dom so who knows? Maybe that's the problem. The edgier ones are more fun to read. I will say this about CS, she doesn't equate alpha with cruel.

Adios, ciao, goodbye
Great writing as always. Personally I'm tired of reading a character that is so martyr. I think this might be it for me with your books. I feel like all the female characters are all martyr's and all the male characters all laugh during sex, which I find extremely weird. It was good while it lasted but it's time to move on since your characters are all starting to be the same.

Heartwarming, sexy and engaging
The Masters of the Shadowlands series never fails to entertain me. Mischief and the Masters is no exception. Like no other, Cherise Sinclair creates stories that has it all: great plot, wonderful characters and some very interesting and sexy BDSM play.Last remaining trainee, Uzuri, is afraid of big men, count on Master Z to help her with that by not sending one but two big Doms her way. Manipulative as the Shadowlands’ owner can be he makes her crawl in the dark until the ‘Dragon Doms’ can snatch her up.Alastair and Max share. The Drago cousins grew up like brothers and after year of separation live together. Settled in a nice house, established in their jobs all they need is a pet and a submissive to share to make it a real home.As Uzuri fights her fear and some nasty problems at work, the cousins push her to become a better version of herself until she’s strong enough to battle her past. She’ll need it, and not just to save herself.BDSM Romance like it should be!Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Characters: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Flow: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Writing and editing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Steam: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good read
The book was a ménage but what I really enjoyed is that the author put more emphasis on the building of the relationship and the trust than the purely sexual connection. It was also nice that the heroine was a person of color. It’s very rare in the genre. The author clearly did some research about the hair in particular. That was a nice touch. The underlying suspense was just enough to keep it interesting. What I didn’t like, the constant use of the word dom. It’s ok we know they are, in casual conversation with a third party, there’s no need to reiterate. The whole relationship was too fast. 1 month. Because of that we didn’t get to see how they dealt with such a relationship in public. There was some interactions with friends but not enough. And lastly there really wasn’t enough background information about any of them but more so about the guys. For instance, how old are they? Yes we know Max was in the marines but for how long?, what did he do? What do their patients think about their preferences? As for Alastair, how long did he work for Doctors with Borders? What pushed him? Why did he decide to become a doctor? Etc.. basically details that make us know them as people and see their journey. I would also have liked to read about their future beyond a trip to Colorado for Thanksgiving. Or even read about that trip.

Another great book from Cherise!!
This series always blows my mind, each book that comes out just reminds me all over again why Cherise Sinclair holds one of my top spots as my all time favourite authors. Mischief and the Masters is another great creation from Cherise, it is an incredible story with heartache, pure laugh out loud moments, twists, heart in your mouth scenes and those scary Doms lol and mischievous Shadowkittens. Don't even get me started talking about those freaking HOT sex scenes that have you melting and squirming.I was so glad that Uzuri got her own story, she is the biggest prankster of the Shadowlands and I was dying to find out what Master would be lucky enough to have such a lively submissive. I was not disappointed the Drago cousins are certainly a force to be reckoned with and it was great to see their relationship with Uzuri develop. This is one book that I will read over and over again

BDSM romantic thriller with plenty of laughter
No plot spoilersNo potential triggers although there are some descriptors of assaultI can only recall one editorial error (you two instead of you too)The characterisation is excellent, and this time it's Uzuri's story. As ever with the cheeky sub the practical jokes abound, and as ever from the pen of Cherise Sinclair, the characters undertake a journey of discovery. There are some kinky sex scenes, one of which made my eyes so wide I thought my eyeballs might fall out 😯Loved it!

Perfection - You have to read this book
It's hard to do justice to this book without it sounding over the top! I loved it! It had everything I wanted sexy, stern, loving Doms, a cute, feisty, very funny sub combined with outstanding scenes and a thrilling plot. Oh and add to that the perfect pace, great dialogue and a lots of other fascinating characters and sub plots. I promise you I'm not exaggerating. The sex scenes were such fun, so creative and brilliantly expressed so that you almost get to live it yourself. Ooh no spoilers so shall we say their first scene, the alfresco one and at the bar made me laugh, smile, sigh, wince and my jaw drop. And there's more than that. I experienced the full spectrum of emotions, even shedding a tear at the church scene. A fantastic journey that made me pause for reflection when Mischief behaved in certain ways. Cringe. I know I've done that, so thank you for the opportunity not only for amazing, heart warming entertainment but for personal growth too.

Mischief. Book 12
Love this whole series and have read everyone . Each book has had its own good story and they always include all the people from the club which is great because it really gives the feel of a family and friends as well . Uzuri has been mentioned in past books and has been up to mischief before . In this book she is still at it . But there are two Doms that are not going to let her get away with it . Love the story and Hope we are going to get a lot More . Some of my favourites are master Z and Jessica. Oh and Master Rauol and Kim and then there's Master Sam And Linda. See all of them are really good stories. . Highly recommend this book
