Updated Review: Customer service is not dead It seems the vendor reads reviews which I find a nice change in how customer service is handled. They contacted me after this review and asked if they could replace the item I bought to see if the issues I was having were based on a bad bottle of Oil. I was so busy I never got back to them and today a new bottle just showed up. I think overall essential oils and their smells are different for every person and this one for me is probably not my cup of tea (or bark). That said I give this company 5 stars for support and customer service. Original Review: 2 Stars Honestly smells more like bark as in that found on a playground than cinnamon.

Good purchase for cinnamon essential oils. Smells good not chemically. I use a binder oil to mix with water and make air freshener sprays.

I love cinnamon bark oil! We have a cabin in the RockyMountains and don’t go up there real often in the winter. Ever now and then we would see a mouse or some mouse turds. We tried those packets that are expensive and not very effective! I have been using cinnamon bark oil for about 2 years. I squirt him on a cotton ball and placed them under the sink in the cupboard in the kitchen. I squirt some down the drain in the shower and the bathroom sink. We put them in the space outside that we believe they might be coming in. It has been magic. It works so well and you only need to add to the cotton balls every two weeks to a month. No more little visitors. It is less expensive and more importantly effective. It smells much better than those packets you can buy. My husband was skeptical, but now is a believer! I’m so glad I read an article about cinnamon. BARK oil. I only buy the cinnamon bark because it is stronger..❤️

Bought this for creating a boundary to keep out small house ants (the kind that no other toxin-free products and sprays work on). Works perfectly! The smell (a sweeter cinnamon) is very strong when using it for this purpose, but disappates after a few hours. Even after the smell fades, the ant-repellant factor remains. So if you're struggling with small house ants and don't want to waste money on other methods that don't work, this cinnamon oil is perfect and priced fairly.

I purchased Sun Essential Oils because the product claimed to be (1) pure; and (2) 4 fluid ouces for $14.99. This is a great price for real cinnamon bark oil. I did not care if the oil was 'Cinnamon Verum' oil (from Ceylon Cinnaman) or 'Cinnamon Cassia' oil (which is cheaper and is very commonly sold as real cinimon in the US; but cannot be sold as such in Europe). Pure, pharmaceutical grade, cinnamon bark oil, of either of the above varieties, will have an explosive, very hot cinnamon taste. I have tasted pharmaceutical grade cinnamon oil many times. This is NOT CINNAMON OIL. I had the Sun Essential Oils Cinnamon Bark tested by a relative, a biochemist. She said that the bottle contained 98% or 99% inert vegetable oil with a cheap cinnamon flavoring making up the balance. Anyone purchasing it for the health benefits of coumarin, which is always found in both Ceylon and Cassia cinnamon bark oil, should be advised that there is no coumarin in this product. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT REAL; IT COULD IN FACT BE POISONIOUS. I am sorry to have to use such strong language but the public should be warned. I have purchased many products from Amazon Prime and never before given a negative review.

I use this as a cat repellent for my carpets. It doesn’t irritate the skin of cats like citrus or peppermint but they definitely don’t like peeing in the corners I spayed this any longer. Keep it off the walls as it will bubble your paint but it’s fine on the carpet. It’s not 5 stars because the smell is a little off. The more expensive one I bought before had more of a straight cinnamon smell. This has some funky solvent smell to it. I definitely wouldn’t ingest it or anything. I will use the rest of the bottle but won’t be purchasing again due to funky smell. It’s “okay” for the price and just tolerable enough to finish the bottle though.
