Great Tank but ......
Great tank but it appears to be no longer available - that is what happens when you find a good product.

Fresh Water Pressure Tank
We asked a good friend to install this and connect it to the incoming and outgoing fresh water supply to our home. This tank was a bit larger than the one that was installed when the house was built in 2002. That tank failed and our water pump was going like crazy because of its inability to hold pressure. When Sam installed this new tank it worked like a charm. The pump and incoming fresh water is now at a steady pace of 40 psi. As the woman of the house I love it. I am from the city where the pressure was steady at nearly 60 psi. A steady 40 psi is good enough. It works great. No problems what-so-ever. We don't expect problems for 30 years. The tank and the pressure gauge we purchased as part of this project both arrived on time and packaged well. Not a scratch, bump or damage to either one. Thanks Amazon.

It was pressurized correctly for my install.
I did not have to pressurize the tank- it was ready to go. If you are replacing yours, remember to install a union in the line going to the tank - see photo. I had done that on the last install and it made this replacement super easy.1. Undo the union. 2. remove the pipe still in the old tank and transfer to the new tank. 3. Put the new tank in place and reconnect the union. Turn the power back on.

Good tank if your careful
Great tank. Pre charged as advertised. As mentioned in other reviews, the threads are plastic. Line your tee up and thread gently and you install it. Do that and you will be OK.

Good product for the money
Good product for the money. It would have been better if the tank had a metal receiver to screw my brass piping in for my pressure switch & inlet & outlet connections. I stopped the leak by gluing in a plastic connector in the tank, then assembling my remaining connections. It appeared the threads in the plastic receiver at bottom of the tank were not deep enough to keep from leaking. Other than a problem of leak tank seems to be a good investment.

Bottom Fitting Leaks
It's either a design flaw or a manufacturing defect, I don't know. The problem I ran into was the 1" female pipe fitting on the bottom of the tank. It is molded too large. Pipe threads are tapered such that when you screw two together the apex of the treads on one half should seize (jam into) the valleys of the threads on the other half. That's what creates the seal between the two fittings. BUT, several 1" male fittings that I had on hand (both PVC and black iron) bottomed out before the threads could seize. I was getting desperate to get my water turned back on, so I had to settle for the very unprofessional solution of wrapping gobs of teflon tape around it. After all that I still ended up with a slow drip, which I hope will self-heal over time with mineral buildup.I don't understand how the factory could not know the molded plastic part they are using is not compatible with a standard American NPT male pipe fitting. Returning the tank for a refund was not an option. My old tank failed, and it was essential to get the water turned back on.

Just what I needed
My last tank had stopped holding water because the bladder had collapsed. I bought this new one which happens to be the exact same dimensions as the last so it was easy to swap out and not have to redo all my piping. Nice and easy install granted I was already setup for everything. Seemed decently priced too.
